It\u2019s time to ring in the new year<\/a>, and there\u2019s a wide variety of ways to celebrate in Utah \u2014 from fireworks to laser shows to bull riding. Here are some of the events across the state where you can welcome in 2026. <\/p>\n Editor\u2019s note:<\/b><\/i> This list is not all-inclusive and events are subject to change. This article will be updated regularly as new information comes in.<\/i><\/p>\n Where:<\/b> The Gateway in Salt Lake City<\/p>\n What time: <\/b>8 p.m.-midnight<\/p>\n How much: <\/b>Free <\/p>\n What\u2019s happening: <\/b>The Gateway is promoting Last Hurrah<\/a> as Utah\u2019s \u201cbiggest, free New Year\u2019s Eve celebration.\u201d Not only will shops and restaurants stay open late, but the event will feature live outdoor DJ performances, street performers, a family-friendly Game Room and a fireworks show at midnight. <\/p>\n Where: <\/b>Millcreek Common in Millcreek<\/p>\n What time: <\/b>4 p.m.-8 p.m. and 9 p.m.-12:30 a.m.<\/p>\n How much: <\/b>$5 from 4-8 p.m., $25 from 9 p.m.-12:30 a.m.<\/p>\n What\u2019s happening: <\/b>An Early Eve<\/a> celebration, beginning at 4 p.m., will include arcade games, carnival rides, a DJ, ice skating (not included in ticket price) and fireworks at 8 p.m. An Out Late <\/a>celebration, beginning at 9 p.m, will also feature live music and aerialist performances, fortune tellers, poets writing personalized pieces, and fireworks. <\/p>\n Where: <\/b>Clark Planetarium in Salt Lake City<\/p>\n What time: <\/b>Noon-4 p.m.<\/p>\n How much: <\/b>Free<\/p>\n What\u2019s happening: <\/b>Clark Planetarium is celebrating New Year\u2019s Eve with a ball drop engineering challenge, live science presentations, and \u201cgalactic beats\u201d from a DJ. <\/p>\n Where: <\/b>Clark Planetarium in Salt Lake City<\/p>\n What time: <\/b>Shows begin every hour from 6-10 p.m.<\/p>\n How much: <\/b>$10.85 for general admission, $8.68 for child admission<\/p>\n What\u2019s happening: <\/b>The planetarium is hosting a laser show set to music from U2, Prince, Kate Bush, Depeche Mode and more, inside the Hansen Dome Theatre. <\/p>\n Where: <\/b>Loveland Living Planet Aquarium in Draper<\/p>\n What time: <\/b>Confetti countdowns at noon and 3 p.m. <\/p>\n How much: <\/b>Included with price of admission or free for members<\/p>\n What\u2019s happening: <\/b>The aquarium\u2019s New Year\u2019s celebration will take place in the lobby with two differently timed confetti countdowns. <\/p>\n Where: <\/b>The Complex in Salt Lake City<\/p>\n What time: <\/b>7 p.m. on Dec. 30 and 31<\/p>\n How much: <\/b>$130.60 for one day or $244.60 for both days<\/p>\n What\u2019s happening: <\/b>The Complex is celebrating with two days of electronic music performances, featuring Slander, Sarah Landry and more. <\/p>\n Where: <\/b>Golden Spike Event Center in Ogden<\/p>\n What time: <\/b>7:30-10 p.m.<\/p>\n How much: <\/b>$15-$35<\/p>\n What\u2019s happening: <\/b>Ring in the new year by watching some bull riding in an indoor arena. <\/p>\n Where: <\/b>Thanksgiving Point\u2019s Ashton Gardens in Lehi<\/p>\n What time: <\/b>Entry begins at 4 p.m.; fireworks at 7:30 p.m.<\/p>\n How much: <\/b>$20-$27<\/p>\n What\u2019s happening: <\/b>Luminaria at Thanksgiving Point will include holiday lights, a fireworks show and a Fire and Ice show. <\/p>\n Many ski resorts across Utah are hosting New Year\u2019s Eve events like torchlight parades and firework displays. Here are some of the resorts holding events this year: <\/p>\n Many local libraries are hosting New Year\u2019s Eve (or Noon Year\u2019s Eve) events for families, including the Salt Lake City<\/a>, Salt Lake County<\/a>, Davis County<\/a> and Weber County<\/a> library systems.
