Tron: Ares<\/a> is spinning toward its streaming debut.<\/p>\n

Disney announced Tuesday that director Joachim R\u00f8nning<\/a>\u2019s sci-fi feature is set to begin streaming Jan. 7 on Disney+<\/a>. The latest installment in the Tron<\/a> franchise hit theaters Oct. 10 and stars Jared Leto<\/a>, Greta Lee<\/a>, Evan Peters<\/a>, Jodie Turner-Smith<\/a>, Hasan Minhaj<\/a>, Arturo Castro<\/a>, Gillian Anderson<\/a> and Jeff Bridges<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Tron: Ares<\/a> centers on an advanced program known as Ares<\/a> (Leto<\/a>) getting sent from the digital Grid into the real world, marking mankind\u2019s first interaction with AI.<\/p>\n

The film is the latest offering on the streaming service to be available in IMAX Enhanced, featuring the expanded aspect ratio associated with IMAX<\/a> programming.<\/p>\n

Bridges<\/a> originated his role as software engineer Kevin Flynn<\/a> in filmmaker Steven Lisberger<\/a>\u2019s original 1982 movie Tron<\/a> and reprised it in director Joseph Kosinski<\/a>\u2019s 2010 sequel Tron: Legacy<\/a> that also starred Garrett Hedlund<\/a> and Olivia Wilde<\/a>.
