\u201cMarry Me\u201d by Thomas Rhett<\/h3>\n

\u201cMarry Me<\/a>\u201d is on Thomas Rhett\u2019s third studio album, Life Changes<\/em>. Written by Rhett, along with Jesse Frasure, Ashley Gorley, and Shane McAnally, the song is about a man who realizes too late that he never told a woman how he feels when he attends her wedding.<\/p>\n

\u201cMarry Me\u201d says, \u201cI\u2019ll wear my black suit, black tie, hide out in the back \/ I\u2019ll do a strong shot of whiskey straight out the flask \/ I\u2019ll try to make it through without cryin\u2019 so nobody sees \/ Yeah, she wanna get married \/ But she don\u2019t wanna marry me.<\/em>\u201c<\/p>\n

Rhett now says the song could have been autobiographical if he hadn\u2019t married Lauren Akins.<\/p>\n

Cole Swindell released \u201cYou Should Be Here<\/a>\u201d in 2015 as the title track of his sophomore album. Swindell wrote the song with Ashley Gorley about the loss of Swindell\u2019s own father.<\/p>\n

The video for \u201cYou Should Be Here\u201d begins with footage of Swindell talking to his father on the phone, shortly before he passed away. It concludes with Swindell visiting his father\u2019s grave.<\/p>\n

\u201cNever Wanted To Be That Girl\u201d by Carly Pearce and Ashley McBryde<\/h3>\n

The heartache of infidelity is crystal clear in \u201cNever Wanted To Be That Girl<\/a>\u201c. Released by Carly Pearce on her 29: Written In Stone<\/em> album, Pearce sings the song with Ashley McBryde. The two also wrote the song together, along with McAnally.<\/p>\n

\u201cNever Wanted To Be That Girl\u201d is from the perspective of both the wife and the woman who is unintentionally causing the affair. The song says, \u201cI never wanted to be that girl \/ I never wanted to hate myself \/ I thought this kind of lonely only happens to somebody else \/ Being the other one when there\u2019s another one \/ God, this feels like hell \/ I thought I knew who I was, but it\u2019s gettin\u2019 hard to tell \/ I never wanted to be that girl<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n
