But if you need a breakdown: In the spring, the singer Role Model<\/strong> went viral for his song, \u201cSally, When the Wine Runs Out,\u201d largely because of its earworm bridge during which he screams to the crowd, \u201cWhere\u2019s my Sally tonight?!\u201d and brings a fan onstage to dance around with him. As the song blew up over the summer, Sally became less a fan moment and more a celebrity guest appearance moment, with\u00a0Natalie Portman<\/strong>, Hilary Duff<\/strong>, Bowen Yang<\/strong>, Olivia Rodrigo<\/strong>, Lewis Capaldi<\/strong>, Charli xcx<\/strong>, and Kate Hudson<\/strong>, among others, all getting a moment to be \u201cSally.\u201d<\/p>\n

Which brings us to Tuesday, when TMZ published photos<\/a> of Role Model\u2014whose real name is Tucker Pillsbury<\/strong>\u2014sitting close together at dinner with\u2026Dakota Johnson<\/strong>! She\u2019s yet to be \u201cSally\u201d at one of Role Model\u2019s shows, but it seems like maybe she\u2019s the Sally of the show currently playing inside his heart.<\/p>\n

The song tells the story of meeting a \u201cborn-again wild card\u201d at a dive bar and hoping that the connection isn\u2019t just a drunken one-night stand. In its viral bridge, the narrator falls \u201cheadfirst\u201d for Sally\u2014who \u201ccan be a diva\u201d and is \u201ccold like Minnesota, hotter than a fever\u2014and spirals accordingly. It\u2019s very fun and very catchy, and \u201cborn again wild card\u201d kind of low-key feels very Johnson-coded.<\/p>\n

\u201cSources\u201d apparently told TMZ that the two were \u201call cuddled up at the cozy dinner\u201d and Johnson was \u201clying on\u201d Role Model.\u00a0It definitely looks like a small booth at a crowded restaurant, which is presumably loud, so they could very well appear to be close to one another simply because they\u2019re leaning in to hear their friends talk. But also, maybe not!<\/p>\n

Johnson and Chris Martin\u00a0<\/strong>ended their engagement over the summer after eight years together. Even though they\u2019d previously broken up and gotten back together, a source told\u00a0People in June that the split<\/a> \u201cfeels final this time.\u201d Pillsbury most recently dated Emma Chamberlain<\/strong> for three years, but they broke up in 2023.<\/p>\n

While we\u2019re here, Johnson did a weird thing<\/a> in December. She traveled to Saudi Arabia for the Red Sea International Festival and told a crowd that \u201cit feels really grim\u201d in the U.S. (true!) but that Saudi Arabia has given her \u201ca renewed faith in cinema\u201d (hm!). Not really the line (or the film festival) I\u2019d go with, but I digress.<\/p>\n

In November,\u00a0People reported that Johnson was \u201cslowly\u201d starting to date again.\u00a0\u201cHer relationship with Chris was often hot and cold, and while she always hoped they\u2019d work out, she seems lighter and more at peace now that it\u2019s final,\u201d the source told the outlet.<\/p>\n

Leaving a hot-and-cold relationship to become the hot-and-cold 2025 version of a manic pixie dream girl feels like a very Sally thing to do.<\/p>\n\n
