Prince Harry remained in headlines for Invictus Games success, reunion with\u00a0 King Charles, Meghan Markle’s projects, and charity spat, but it is yet to decide that he really ended the year\u00a0 on a bright note.<\/p>\n
Undoubtedly, he\u00a0 achieved\u00a0 some milestone successes with\u00a0 Invictus Games in Canada and a seemingly positive trip to the UK in September that ended in meeting with his ailing\u00a0 dad.<\/p>\n
But, all was not good as he faced some brutal blows.\u00a0He even had to step down\u00a0 \u00a0as patron of his Sentebale charity.<\/p>\n
\u00a0He also lost his case at the Court of Appeal to have his automatic police protection when in the UK reinstated. After the verdict Harry expressed his fellings in an interview to the BBC,\u00a0<\/i>admitting the issue had created a wedge between him and the King.<\/p>\n
He even went on to reveal that his father had refused to talk to him about it – and called the decision a “good old-fashioned stitch up”.<\/p>\n
Surprisingly, in recent weeks, the situation turned up as The Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (Ravec) has now instructed its Risk Management Board to reassess his threat level, with a decision expected in weeks.<\/p>\n
Royal expert Jennie Bond weighed in on the latest development, considering it a crucial turning point for teh Duke if he gets the outcome he wants.<\/p>\n
“2026 could turn out to be a very good year for Harry. If his security review goes in his favour, he will feel that an obstacle to visiting the UK more often \u2013 and possibly bringing his children here \u2013 has been removed. It has also been a spanner in the works in his relationship with his father,” he told the Mirror.<\/i><\/p>\n
The expert tried to share the formula of making peace with the royal family, advising\u00a0 Harry to “come over and see his dad in person from time to time that the rift between them could gradually be mended.”<\/p>\n
The expert\u00a0 also suggested Harry to make himself available to fit in with his father\u2018s very busy diary and by ensuring that absolutely nothing about any meeting is given to the media.<\/p>\n
Finally, he went on: “An apology to his father and his stepmother would also help \u2013 again, perhaps he has already done so, although I rather doubt it.”<\/p>\n
There has always been\u00a0 a glimmer of hope for a reconciliation between Harry and his father. However, the same can’t predicted for the two royal brothers, Harry and William.<\/p>\n
Jennie explained: “As for reconciling with William, that\u2019s a much bigger ask. A parent can forgive a child far more readily than siblings tend to reconcile.”<\/p>\n
In his intervie,\u00a0 Harry shared his wish to reconcile with his father and his brother, even said he\u00a0 wants them “back in his life.”<\/p>\n
But, Bond does not sees ot happen any time soon as he said: “I\u2019m not at all sure that William feels the same about Harry. So I think the younger prince will have to wait some time yet for the ice to thaw \u2013 and the truth is that it may never do so.”<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
