Queen Camilla has told BBC racing commentator John Hunt and his daughter Amy, whose family was murdered at their home last year, that they would be \u201cso proud of you both\u201d.<\/p>\n

Louise Hunt, 25, her sister Hannah, 28, and their mother Carol, 61, were killed by Kyle Clifford, 27, who was Louise\u2019s ex-partner, in Bushey on July 9, 2024. <\/p>\n\n

Mr Hunt and Amy set up The Hunt Family Fund in memory of their family to raise money for charities and causes that help and inspire young women.<\/p>\n

The Queen attended a fundraising gala for the Fund in December, with her comments being broadcast on BBC Radio 4\u2019s Today programme. She said: \u201cI\u2019d just like to say, wherever your family is now, they\u2019d be so proud of you both.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cAnd they must be from above smiling down on you and thinking, my goodness me, what a wonderful, wonderful father, husband, sister.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019d just be so proud of you both.\u201d<\/p>\n

The conversation was recorded in the Garden Room at Clarence House in November and also included former Prime Minister Baroness Theresa May, and was chaired by BBC broadcaster Emma Barnett. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Mr Hunt said a year on after his family was killed it \u201cremains really difficult on a minute-by-minute basis\u201d, adding \u201cbut you have to try and find the strength in our position to arm yourself with as many tools as possible that are going to help you get through that next hour, get through that next day\u201d.<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cAt the risk of embarrassing Amy, she\u2019s been my best counsel from the word go.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe talk all the time. I used to say \u2018I couldn\u2019t do it without you\u2019, but now I say \u2018I can do it with you\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Ms Hunt added: \u201cI think there\u2019s a huge part of us that\u2019s still in disbelief, in shock. Perhaps we\u2019ll be in that state for the rest of our lives, given the magnitude of our loss.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe miss them every single minute of the day.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Queen spoke how she previously went to a meeting of charity SafeLives and heard the stories of women who had been killed or attacked.<\/p>\n

She added: \u201cI remember being just so shocked and horrified by the whole thing, and there wasn\u2019t a dry eye in the place, and it made me realise how naive I\u2019d been about this sort of thing. I mean, we read about it occasionally in the papers, but we don\u2019t realise that it\u2019s happening all the time.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cIf you can get them early enough and teach them respect for women. I think that\u2019s so important to get into schools.\u201d<\/p>\n

Amy Hunt added that the radicalisation of men by other men is a \u201chuge problem\u201d.<\/p>\n

She said: \u201cUnfortunately, it\u2019s something that largely goes unchecked in these tech companies and social media companies, it\u2019s somewhat allowed to run rampant.<\/p>\n

\u201cI suppose, if men have not had the best examples in life when they reach out to an online space looking for guidance and for some sort of mentor, these men in the online spaces such as Andrew Tate and his ilk, they provide that, and they provide easy answers.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Queen also recalled her own experience and how she was \u201cso angry\u201d and \u201cfurious\u201d when she was attacked on a train as a teenager.<\/p>\n

Camilla said: \u201cSomebody I didn\u2019t know. I was reading my book, and you know, this boy, man, attacked me, and I did fight back.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I remember getting off the train and my mother looking at me and saying: \u2018Why is your hair standing on end?\u2019 and: \u2018Why is button missing from your coat?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
