Mariah\u00a0Carey<\/a>,\u00a0Huntr\/X<\/a>,\u00a0Post\u00a0Malone<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0LE SSERAFIM<\/a>\u00a0were among the names\u00a0bringing\u00a0in 2026\u00a0at this year\u2019s\u00a0\u2018New Year\u2019s\u00a0Rockin\u2019 Eve\u2019\u00a0show in New York.<\/p>\n

Last night (December 31), the annual extravaganza saw hosts Ryan Seacrest and\u00a0Rita Ora<\/a>\u00a0return\u00a0as\u00a0a range of major\u00a0artists played\u00a0live, both in\u00a0the central location in\u00a0Times Square, as well as in Chicago,\u00a0Las Vegas\u00a0and Puerto Rico.<\/p>\n

Mariah Carey was one of the headline acts, playing her single \u2018Obsessed\u2019,\u00a0from 2009\u2019s \u2018Memoirs\u00a0Of\u00a0An\u00a0Imperfect Angel\u2019 from Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

On location in Times Square were\u00a0Huntr\/X, the trio of\u00a0Ejae,\u00a0Audrey Nuna<\/a>\u00a0and Rei Ami that dominated 2025 with their smash hit movie\u00a0KPop\u00a0Demon Hunters<\/i><\/a>, the most-watched Netflix<\/a>\u00a0film of all time. The\u00a0real-life singing voice\u00a0trio\u00a0of the fictional band\u00a0played the all-conquering single \u2018Golden\u2019 to the huge crowd in attendance.<\/p>\n

Other big names included on the show were fellow K-pop stars LE SSERAFIM, as well as Post Malone,\u00a050 Cent<\/a>,\u00a0Jess Glynne<\/a>,\u00a0Pitbull<\/a>,\u00a0Daddy Yankee<\/a>,\u00a0Demi Lovato<\/a>,\u00a0Maren Morris<\/a>, 4\u00a0Non Blondes,\u00a0Charlie Puth<\/a>,\u00a0OneRepublic<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Goo\u00a0Goo\u00a0Dolls<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The New Year\u2019s\u00a0Rockin\u2019 Eve show has been running since 1971 and traditionally includes the annual ball\u00a0drop in\u00a0Times Square. Last year,\u00a0it saw headline performances<\/a>\u00a0from\u00a0Carrie Underwood<\/a>, the\u00a0Jonas Brothers<\/a>,\u00a0TLC<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Sophie Ellis-Bextor<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Huntr\/X\u2019s \u2018Golden\u2019\u00a0has been shortlisted for an Oscar for Best Song<\/a>, and was\u00a0recently named\u00a0the second best K-pop song of 2025 by\u00a0NME<\/i><\/a>, who noted: \u201cIn just a few short months, \u2018Golden\u2019 has become a chart-topping phenomenon for the ages and for all ages, while somehow having resisted the curse of being reduced to passing virality. Though it garnered multiple\u00a0Grammy<\/a>\u00a0nominations for 2026, including the coveted Song of the Year, \u2018Golden\u2019\u00a0doesn\u2019t\u00a0need awards to prove it has struck gold.\u201d<\/p>\n
