This time last year, I <\/span>predicted<\/span><\/a> that 2025 would not be \u201c<\/span>better on a geopolitical scale\u201d and, look, it wasn\u2019t a particularly outrageous hypothesis to pose, but it did indeed turn out to be true. I\u2019m going to go ahead and make the same guess for 2026, with the caveat that I very much hope to be proven wrong.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

When it comes to celebrity predictions, I\u2019m a little bit more ambivalent about my chances. Of our 20 <\/span>predictions<\/span><\/a> for this past year, only two have definitively come true: one great (<\/span>Beyonc\u00e9<\/b>\u00a0won album of the year<\/span><\/a>!) and one terrible (a <\/span>Jared Leto<\/b> expos\u00e9 <\/span>finally dropped<\/span><\/a>\u2014not that it appears to have really <\/span>affected him at all<\/span><\/a>). A couple of others remain possibly true (<\/span>Jennifer Lopez<\/b> and <\/span>Ben Affleck<\/b> have been <\/span>seen together<\/span><\/a> a number of times in recent months); some were obviously wishful thinking (<\/span>Marcello Hern\u00e1ndez<\/b> movie vehicle when??); and some were flat-out wrong (<\/span>Selena Gomez<\/b> and <\/span>Benny Blanco<\/b> didn\u2019t break up, they got married!).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

With that mixed scorecard in mind, please join us as we speculate wildly (and occasionally without basis) about what\u2019s going to happen in the celebrity-verse in 2026.<\/span><\/p>\n
