New year, new music from some of our favourite acts from around the globe. Here\u2019s a non-exhaustive list of the musicians who\u2019ve teased or confirmed they\u2019ve got new songs or albums on the way in 2026.<\/h2>\n

New Year\u2019s Eve has come and gone, and while many may still be nursing a mild hangover from ringing in 2026, there\u2019s something to keep us all trucking a bit longer as celebrations come to a close and the Berocca stops helping the headache: new music from a bunch of our favourite acts.<\/p>\n

Much like bears sh*tting in the woods, musicians are also bound to continue bringing out new music, although some are more of a surprise than others. While this list is non-exhaustive given we can\u2019t track every single act ever, here\u2019s a brief rundown of some of the bands and artists who\u2019ve confirmed (or teased) new singles or albums in 2026, as well as those set to head back to the studio this year that may<\/em> drop the fruits of their labour in the next twelve months.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s get into it.<\/p>\n

Ice Nine Kills<\/h2>\n

Ice Nine Kills frontman Spencer Charnas took to X in May last year to tease that the band had been working on new music and that a new album would drop in early 2026 \u2013 that is, if you believe in reverse psychology. In October, they dropped<\/a> \u2018The Laugh Track\u2019 part one and two, an homage to Tim Burton\u2019s Gotham, so it\u2019s likely this is the first taste of what\u2019s to come. If Charnas is to be believed (or not) the album looks like it might be out before they hit Aussie shores in September with Electric Callboy. Here\u2019s hoping.<\/p>\n

Just to clarify, we have not been working on any new ice nine kills music over the last few years, there is NOT a new single dropping this Summer and we are not releasing a new INK album early 2026 \ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n

The Used<\/h2>\n

In a new post on social media<\/a>, The Used thanked fans for being a part of the \u201cabsolutely insane\u201d year the band had, as well as for their support over the last 25 years. They added that they were \u201creally looking forward to a new record and a brand new chapter for The Used in 2026,\u201d so it looks on the cards we\u2019ll have some new music before the year is out. Maybe in time for that Sydney Opera House show?<\/p>\n

The Pretty Reckless<\/h2>\n

The Pretty Reckless dropped their first song in years, \u2018For I Am Death,\u2019 in August last year, and during an interview with Audac<\/i>y Check In<\/a><\/em>, frontwoman Taylor Momsen teased that there was plenty more to come, but not just yet. \u201cWe\u2019re not finished with the record,\u201d she said at the time. \u201cThere\u2019s a lot of stuff I can\u2019t tell you yet\u2026But what I\u00a0can<\/em>\u00a0tell you is the next 12 months of\u00a0The Pretty Reckless world is gonna be insane. So just stay tuned. There\u2019s a lot coming. This is just the beginning.\u201d<\/p>\n

Yungblud<\/h2>\n

While we don\u2019t have confirmation of a new album from Yungblud (and wouldn\u2019t expect to, given his mega year off the back of dropping Idols<\/em>), what we did get as a little New Year\u2019s treat was the remimagining of his track \u2018Zombie\u2019 featuring The Smashing Pumpkins. Here\u2019s hoping we get to hear it live when he hits Australia later this month.<\/p>\n

Black Veil Brides<\/h2>\n

Black Veil Brides are releasing their next single \u2018Certainty\u2019 on January 8th. Andy Biersack confirmed their next full-length album was fully mixed and ready for mastering as of September 2025<\/a>, and would be announced in early 2026.<\/p>\n

Motionless In White<\/h2>\n

Motionless In White are set to drop a new single titled \u2018Afraid Of The Dark\u2019 on January 28, the first track from the band\u2019s upcoming seventh studio album which is expected to release some time in 2026.<\/p>\n

The Home Team<\/h2>\n

In a new Instagram post, The Home Team said they would \u201cstart working on LP4\u201d in 2026, although it\u2019s not clear whether the upcoming album would drop this year too.<\/p>\n

Thrown<\/h2>\n

thrown have been teasing new music for 2026, posting a snippet of unreleased material to their Instagram<\/a> yesterday captioned \u201c2026.\u201d If you\u2019ve been yearning for more from the nu-metalcore act, it looks like you\u2019re in luck.<\/p>\n

Megadeth<\/h2>\n

Described as their final studio release, Megadeth\u2019s upcoming self-titled album<\/a> is set to drop on January 23 ahead of plans for a farewell tour.<\/p>\n

Puscifer<\/h2>\n

Puscifer\u2019s upcoming album Normal Isn\u2019t<\/em> is planned for release on February 6. Maynard James Keenan said of the album<\/a>: \u201cWe\u2019re definitely leaning into our early influences\u2026It\u2019s the place where goth meets punk. It\u2019s where I came from.\u201d<\/p>\n

New Found Glory<\/h2>\n

New Found Glory\u2019s newest album Listen Up!<\/em> is out February 20th, following the release of singles \u2018Treat Yourself\u2019 and \u2018Laugh It Off.\u2019<\/p>\n

Trivium<\/h2>\n

Trivium has been heavily teasing new material for some time, with Corey Beaulieu telling Metal Global <\/em>in February that 2026 would be the year of a new album, touring, and festivals. Speaking to Blunt<\/em> at Louder Than Life in September<\/a>, Paolo Gregoletto and Beaulieu\u00a0spoke more on new music as well as an Aussie tour to \u201cmake up\u201d for not heading Down Under as part of the Poisoned Ascendancy Tour.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe definitely will be down,\u201d Gregoletto said. \u201cObviously, we have this EP and I mean, we\u2019re writing our next album at the same time\u2026in between these shows [and] the tour we got coming up. So [it\u2019s] very possible we might even have even more music by the time we do get to Australia, so we\u2019ll see.\u201d Beaulieu added that \u201cAustralia might happen around the same time as a new [Trivium] record, who knows? Maybe Australia will get the first new album tour.\u201d<\/p>\n

So there you have it, folks. While there\u2019s likely a whole heap more new music coming from a bunch of our other favourite acts this year, here\u2019s a few to get you going on the hype train. 2026 is already shaping up to be a big one, that\u2019s for sure.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
