BTS<\/a> have officially confirmed their return for 2026 with plans for a new album and world tour.<\/p>\n \u201cMarch 20 comeback confirmed,\u201d the K-pop\u00a0group\u2019s agency\u00a0Big Hit Music said in a new post on X<\/a>, marking their first studio album since 2020\u2019s \u2018Be\u2019 and their first record since their anthology LP \u2018Proof\u2019 was released in 2022.<\/p>\n Ahead of the official confirmation, all seven members teased their return<\/a> in handwritten notes sent to their fansbase to celebrate the New Year. Looking back on the past year, the members shared their hopes for the future, saying: \u201cWe hope to make a safe comeback this year and that the album does well. Let\u2019s make BTS a huge success.\u201d<\/p>\n The K-pop juggernauts reunited last July for the first time since 2022<\/a>, with all seven members having completed their mandatory military service in South Korea. During a special livestream, BTS\u00a0confirmed rumours that they were preparing to release new music<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ll be releasing a new BTS album in the spring of next year. Starting in July, all seven of us will begin working closely together on new music. Since it will be a group album, it will reflect each member\u2019s thoughts and ideas.
