\n\tJill Scott is making her return<\/a> to music with the announcement of her sixth album, \u201cTo Whom This May Concern,\u201d releasing on Feb. 13 via the Orchard.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe album, which is Scott\u2019s first in over a decade, will feature collaborations with Ab-Soul, J.I.D., Tierra Whack and Too Short, as well as production from DJ Premier, Adam Blackstone, Om\u2019Mas Keith, Camper, Andre Harris, Trombone Shorty, Seige Montracity, Eric Wortham, DW Wright and VT Tolan. To coincide with the album announcement, Scott has released its first single \u201cBeautiful People.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn an interview<\/a> with Million Dollaz Worth of Game in late December, Scott spoke about some of the themes of the album, discussing the songs \u201cPay You on Tuesday\u201d and \u201cDon\u2019t Play.\u201d \u201cIt\u2019s a lot of living in this album,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s a lot of revelation. Musically, it\u2019s a full spectrum. Had some wonderful musicians come in. I feel touched all over, literally\u2026 The musicianship on this project and the people that gravitated towards it, I couldn\u2019t be happier. I couldn\u2019t have ever even imagined who is on this album.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe R&B singer last released her fifth album \u201cWoman\u201d in 2015, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. In 2025, she celebrated the 25th anniversary of her first album, \u201cWho Is Jill Scott<\/a>?: Words and Sounds Vol. 1,\u201d and gave a special \u201cJill Scott & Friends\u201d performance at Essence Festival in July. <\/p>\n

\n\tSince her last album, Scott has been building her Hollywood resume with acting roles on the CW\u2019s \u201cBlack Lightning,\u201d \u201cFirst Wives Club\u201d and, most recently, a guest appearance on \u201cAbbott Elementary.\u201d She will next appear in Tyler Perry\u2019s \u201cWhy Did I Get Married Again?\u201d for Netflix.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
