A new year means there\u2019s lots more to come for Nicole Kidman<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cLooking forward into 2026 xx,\u201d Kidman, 58, captioned an Instagram Story post on Thursday, January 1. The image featured the actress standing alongside daughters Sunday, 17, and Faith, 15, whom she shares with estranged husband Keith Urban<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Kidman and her daughters were photographed from behind while looking out over a body of water. The actress added fireworks GIFs into the image, which showed her and her kids wearing New Year\u2019s party headbands.<\/p>\n

Kidman\u2019s post looking ahead comes after she experienced a year full of ups and downs in her personal life.<\/p>\n

Kidman, 58, was seen hiking in Nashville on Wednesday, October 1, according to photos obtained by The Daily Mail. The Oscar winner sported black leggings, a gray jacket, matching hat and oversized sunglasses as she enjoyed some exercise [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Us Weekly<\/em> confirmed in September 2025 that Kidman had filed for divorce from Urban after 19 years of marriage. She cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split and requested to be the \u201cprimary residential parent\u201d of their daughters<\/a>. (Kidman also shares daughter Bella, 33, and son Connor, 30, with ex-husband Tom Cruise<\/strong>.)<\/p>\n

\u201cThey had been quietly separated for a while now but needed time to figure out if they were going to actually divorce,\u201d a source exclusively told Us<\/em> of Urban and Kidman in October. \u201cShe had faith they could work it out.\u201d<\/p>\n

The same insider told Us<\/em> that the split \u201cwasn\u2019t\u201d Kidman\u2019s decision<\/a>, adding she was \u201cdevastated\u201d by the breakup.<\/p>\n

\u201cHer trust was lost, and it was too far gone. Nicole had been trying to get them to work on their marriage and did not want this to get out to the public,\u201d the source continued. \u201cShe didn\u2019t tell many friends what was really going on with them and was holding this in for months.\u201d<\/p>\n

The former couple were spending \u201ca lot of time apart due to work commitments\u201d and had been living \u201cseparate lives,\u201d the same insider explained. Kidman and Urban\u2019s last outing together<\/a> was at the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 game, which took place in Nashville this past June.<\/p>\n

The source told Us<\/em> that Kidman and Urban \u201cwere not on the same page\u201d when it came to their relationship.<\/p>\n
