\n\t\tXavi Brings Mexican Music Swagger to Times Square\u2019s New Year\u2019s Eve Celebration\t<\/h2>\n

\n\tWith his slicked-back hair and oversized black coat Xavi<\/a> kicked off 2026 with a bang (and a fresh look) during Dick Clark\u2019s New Year\u2019s Rockin\u2019 Eve With Ryan Seacrest 2026<\/em> in Times Square, with over 100,000 fans reportedly in attendance. Backed by a norte\u00f1o ensemble featuring an accordionist, brass section and guitarists, he delivered performances of the Billboard<\/em> No. 1<\/a> bachata hit \u201cEn Privado\u201d and the Mexican cumbia-infused \u201cNo Capea,\u201d originally starring Manuel Turizo and Grupo Frontera, respectively. The multi-city extravaganza also featured a headlining act by Diana Ross, alongside performances by Ciara, LE SSERAFIM, Little Big Town, Daddy Yankee<\/a>, Maren Morris, and more.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn other Xavi news, \u201cEn Privado\u201d was added to Barack Obama\u2019s Favorite Music of 2025<\/a> list.<\/p>\n

\n\t\tLos Tigres del Norte and The Simpsons<\/em> Teamed Up For \u201cEl Corrido de Pedro y Homero\u201d\t<\/h2>\n

\n\tIn a historic (and heartwarming) moment for Latin music fans, Los Tigres Del Norte<\/a> made their animated debut on The Simpsons<\/em> during the Dec. 28 episode, performing \u201cEl Corrido de Pedro y Homero.\u201d The episode, \u201cThe Fall Guy-Yi-Yi,\u201d centered around Bumblebee Man, and was \u201ca love letter of sorts to our Latin American fans, and to Mexican culture specifically,\u201d Cesar Mazariegos, co-executive producer of\u00a0The Simpsons<\/em>, said in a statement<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe new song was a reimagining of the classic \u201cPedro y Pablo,\u201d originally featured on Los Tigres\u2019 Jaula de Oro<\/em> album from 1984. The artwork depicted the group performing onstage, dressed sharply with thick mustaches, cowboy hats and boots, while playing traditional instruments such as accordion, guitars, bass and drums. <\/p>\n

\n\t\tBizarrap Joins MONDO for U.S. Debut at CES 2026\t<\/h2>\n

\n\tArgentine superproducer Bizarrap<\/a> is partnering with MONDO, a Scandinavian lifestyle audio brand, for its U.S. and Latin American debut at CES 2026, where he will headline a show on Wednesday (Jan. 7) at Hakkasan Studio in Las Vegas. \u201cThe U.S. and Latin America are where music, identity, and design intersect most powerfully right now,\u201d says Johan Wahlb\u00e4ck, CEO of MONDO, in a press release. \u201cWith strong regional partners and creators who genuinely live in sound, we\u2019re building MONDO as a long-term cultural brand, not a short-term product launch.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThis performance will be MONDO\u2019s first official U.S. activation, as the brand emphasizes a culture-driven approach to sound and music. \u201cThe exchange has already begun to influence product development, including work on a DJ-inspired headphone being developed jointly with MONDO\u2019s design team. An early preview of the product is planned for 2026\u201d, says the press release.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
