OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Here\u2019s a list of activities and events coming up in the Omaha metro this weekend.<\/p>\n

The Joslyn Art Museum<\/a> in downtown Omaha is offering free events throughout the weekend. From 1-2 p.m. Friday<\/b>, gallery volunteers will give a conversational \u201cMeet the Joslyn\u201d tour.<\/a> To explore your artistic side as we enter the new year, try out the \u201cHealthy Start with Art\u201d event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday<\/b>. Activities include a story time from Omaha Public Library, yoga flow, creating your own art, and drop-in sketching. There will be tours at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday. You can visit the Joslyn from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday <\/b>to see the space on your own time.<\/p>\n

Celebrate the beginning of 2026 by listening to local live music. Hear new and original music of soul, pop, and R&B by one of Omaha\u2019s award winning bands. \u201cParfait\u201d will be at the Harney Street Tavern<\/a> at 9:15 p.m. Friday <\/b>and at Cattle Call<\/a> at 10 p.m. Saturday.<\/b> \u201cBad Habitz\u201d<\/a> will be at the Island Bar and Grill in La Vista starting at 8:30 p.m. Saturday<\/b>. Tony LaMar<\/a> will be at Vino Mas Wine Bar\u2019s Legacy location in West Omaha starting at 7 p.m. Saturday<\/b>. His influences include Stevie Wonder, Johnny Cash, and more. Check out a 5-piece jazz combo with Luigi, Inc. at Mr. Toads in the Old Market at 9 p.m. Sunday<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Another great way to start off the new year is by supporting local businesses at the Winter Farmer\u2019s Market<\/a> at the Fowling Warehouse in Omaha. The fun will happen from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Sunday <\/b>through March. The indoor market series is centered around small businesses, with \u201cover 50 rotating local vendors & food trucks,\u201d according to the event\u2019s Facebook page. Also at the event will be a full bar, kids crafts, and family games. Be on the lookout for live music and cooking demos featured.
