He said he expects sustained growth in concert tourism in 2026, particularly across Southeast Asia, West Asia and some European cities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are seeing travellers, particularly millennials and Gen Z, aligning trips around announced global touring schedules and established festival calendars, often planning well in advance of fixed event dates,\u201d said Rajeev Kale, president and country head, holidays, MICE &amp; Visa, at <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"dofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/m.economictimes.com\/thomas-cook-(india)-ltd\/stocks\/companyid-12897.cms\" data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#Industry#href\" target=\"_blank\">Thomas Cook<\/a> (India) Ltd.<\/p>\n<div data-align=\"\" data-msid=\"126326871\" data-type=\"image\" class=\"midImg clearfix\">\n<figure class=\"imgBg\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Screenshot 2026-01-04 at 12\" alt=\"Screenshot 2026-01-04 at 12\" src=\"https:\/\/img.etimg.com\/photo\/msid-42031747\/et-logo.jpg\" class=\"lazy gwt-Image\" data-msid=\"126326871\" data-original=\"https:\/\/img.etimg.com\/photo\/msid-126326871\/screenshot-2026-01-04-at-12.jpg\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p> People in the know said this year could see pop band Michael Learns to Rock and John Mayer holding concerts in India.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlongside international events, India\u2019s own cultural calendar continues to drive music-led travel, such as Chennai\u2019s Margazhi season, drawing audiences from within the country and overseas,\u201d said Kale.<\/p>\n<p>Most travellers extend stays to explore the neighbouring areas and their cuisines, said experts.<\/p>\n<p>According to SD Nandakumar, president and country head for holidays and corporate tours at SOTC Travel Ltd., travellers from tier-2 and 3 cities are actively tracking global lineups and festival announcements.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLive concerts and destination music events are becoming part of a broader experiential travel narrative, particularly among younger travellers who prioritise time-bound, shared experiences,\u201d said Nandakumar.<\/p>\n<p>Travel company Pickyourtrail said 10\u201312% of travellers plan their international holidays around music festival dates.
