Universal Music Publishing Group will also become Excel\u2019s exclusive music publishing partner, creating opportunities for UMG&#8217;s and Universal Music India&#8217;s (UMI&#8217;s) artists to feature in Excel\u2019s future productions.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div wp_automatic_readability=\"12\">\n<p>Devraj Sanyal, Chairman and CEO of Universal Music India &amp; South Asia, will join Excel\u2019s board as part of the deal, while Akhtar and Sidhwani will continue to lead creative direction and content decisions.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div wp_automatic_readability=\"14.774193548387\">\n<p>Founded in 1999, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.vccircle.com\/tag\/excel-entertainment\" target=\"_blank\">Excel Entertainment<\/a> has produced over 40 films and original scripted series, beginning with Dil Chahta Hai in 2001.
