\n Evangeline Lilly<\/a> says she has brain damage, months after fainting and hitting her head on a rock while at the beach.\n <\/p>\n \n \u201cIt\u2019s late on January 1st. The first day of 2026. And I\u2019m entering into this new year, the Year of the Horse, with some bad news about my concussion,\u201d the Marvel<\/a> star said in a video posted on Instagram<\/a> on Friday.\n <\/p>\n \n She said she received results back from her brain scans and \u201calmost every area in my brain is functioning at a decreased capacity.\u201d\n <\/p>\n \n \u201cSo, I do have brain damage from the TBI,\u201d or traumatic brain injury, \u201cand possibly other factors going on,\u201d Lilly continued.\n <\/p>\n \n \u201cBut, now, my job is to get to the bottom of that with the doctors and then embark on the hard work of fixing it, which I don\u2019t look forward to because I feel like hard work is all I do,\u201d the 46-year-old added, with a chuckle.\n <\/p>\n \n \u201cBut that\u2019s okay. My cognitive decline since I smashed my face open has helped me to slow down and helped me to have a more restful finish to my 2025. I think this was the calmest, most restful Christmas holiday I have had maybe since I had children, so 14 years ago. So that\u2019s a good thing,\u201d Lilly continued.\n <\/p>\n \n \u201cFeeling extraordinarily grateful and blessed to be able to play one more day, one more year on this beautiful living planet,\u201d she said before thanking her followers \u201cfor caring.\u201d\n <\/p>\n \n \u201cYou are a warrior,\u201d her \u201cAnt-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania\u201d<\/a> co-star Michelle Pfeiffer<\/a> commented under the post, adding a heart emoji. \u201cNothing\u2014not even this will defeat you my friend.\u201d\n <\/p>\n \n \u201cThanks, Mama,\u201d replied Lilly, who plays Pfeiffer\u2019s onscreen daughter, Hope, in the \u201cAnt-Man\u201d franchise.\n <\/p>\n \n \u201cSending you all my love and a massive hug,\u201d wrote fellow \u201cLost\u201d<\/a> actress Rebecca Mader.\n <\/p>\n \n Lilly previously revealed in a blog post on Substack<\/a> in May that she had \u201cfainted at the beach. And fell face first into a boulder,\u201d adding that she has experienced \u201cfainting spells since I was a little girl.\u201d\n <\/p>\n \n \u201cThe Hobbit\u201d star has since been updating fans on Instagram on her recovery from what she described as \u201ca big head injury\u201d and \u201cconcussion\u201d in a post<\/a> in June.\n <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
