Evangeline Lilly<\/a> is giving fans an update on her health after previously revealing that she had hit her face on a boulder last year. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n The \u201cLost\u201d star shared the \u201cbad news\u201d in an Instagram video last week, telling followers that her brain was \u201cfunctioning at a decreased capacity.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cI\u2019m entering into this new year \u2015 the Year of the Horse \u2015 with some bad news about my concussion,\u201d Lilly said. \u201cA lot of you have inquired about the brain scans that you heard I got. And the results came back from the scans [that] showed that almost every area in my brain is functioning at a decreased capacity.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cBut now my job is to get to the bottom of that with doctors and then embark on the hard work of fixing it, which I don\u2019t look forward to because I feel like hard work is all I do,\u201d Lilly shared. \u201cBut that\u2019s okay. My cognitive decline since I smashed my face open has helped me to slow down and helped me to have a more restful finish to my 2025.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n In her Instagram caption, Lilly shared that she does \u201chave brain damage from my [traumatic brain injury].\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cComforting to know my cognitive decline isn\u2019t just peri-menopause, discomforting to know what an uphill battle it will be to try to reverse the deficiencies,\u201d she wrote, before thanking readers \u201cfor always asking, for always caring, and for your continued prayers.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n The \u201cAnt-Man\u201d actor\u2019s celebrity friends consoled her in the comments. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cYou are a warrior. Nothing-not even this will defeat you my friend,\u201d actor Michelle Pfeiffer wrote, while fellow actor Alyssa Milano said, \u201cThinking about you.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n Lilly previously wrote about fainting at the beach and falling \u201cface first into a boulder\u201d back in May, when she told followers the full story of her accident and shared a photo of her injury<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
