\n\tThe post marked his first confirmation of a new solo project since 24K Magic<\/em>, his Grammy-winning 2016 LP that spawned hits like \u201cThat\u2019s What I Like\u201d and \u201c24K Magic\u201d and swept six trophies at the 2018 Grammys.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the time since 24K Magic<\/em>, the pop icon has been selective with his output but impactful when he drops. In 2021, Mars and .Paak released An Evening With Silk Sonic<\/em>, an homage to \u201970s funk and soul that earned rave reviews and swept the Grammys.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn 2024, he featured on the global No. 1 hit \u201cAPT.\u201d with BLACKPINK\u2019s Ros\u00e9. By the start of 2025, \u201cAPT.\u201d had become the first No.\u00a01 song by a K-pop artist on\u00a0Billboard<\/em>\u2019s\u00a0Pop Airplay<\/a>\u00a0chart, and in April, it scored a record-extending 19th week atop the\u00a0Billboard Global Excl.\u00a0U.S.<\/a>\u00a0chart \u2014 ultimately topping the year-end editions of the latter chart and the\u00a0Billboard Global\u00a0200<\/a>. <\/p>\n
