The film follows 17-year-old Tokyo high school student Iroha Sakayori, who balances part-time work and academics while finding respite watching popular streamer Yachiyo Runami, the administrator of the virtual space Tsukuyomi. Iroha<\/a> frequents the platform where users pursue creative endeavors and play battle games. Her life takes an unexpected turn when she discovers a telephone pole radiating iridescent light, from which an infant emerges. After bringing the baby home, Iroha witnesses her rapidly age into a girl her own age.<\/p>\n
