The Lyncourt bar, known for regularly featuring live music, will kick out the jams this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, before shutting down for good at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 15.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"WTGGFKKWBNCGHFB26ZSM57334U\">Hard rock\/metal bands Caustic Method, The Three, Drawn By Blood, and Tragic Intent will perform at The Jugg on Friday, Jan. 9. Doors open at 7 p.m.; admission is $10.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"DBOOKNNLNRC4JJZ26A7WAVKGOY\">Lenny Lashley, a Boston-based punk artist, will play \u201cmusic for emotionally disturbed children\u201d on Saturday, Jan. 10, with special guests Live Laugh Lobotomy, Pale Green Stars, and Perilous. Doors open at 7 p.m.; admission is $10.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"QQXAHLA2NRBG7PL3TCXKJJCYDM\">BSG, The Grandstand Jockeys and Plastic Sunface will take the stage Sunday, Jan. 11, according to John Viggiano, who does marketing for The Jugg. Doors open at 5 p.m.; admission is $10.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"YMRP5EPMRNBPZA4TUGC3OIP3QU\">The Jugg on Teall announced it was closing less than two months after <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.syracuse.com\/entertainment\/2025\/11\/mudvayne-guitarist-more-to-play-rock-concert-to-help-syracuse-venue-owner.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"\" title=\"https:\/\/www.syracuse.com\/entertainment\/2025\/11\/mudvayne-guitarist-more-to-play-rock-concert-to-help-syracuse-venue-owner.html\">hosting a music festival to raise money for Jesse Buckley<\/a>, who co-owns the venue with his wife Aimee. Also known as \u201cBuck\u201d and \u201cCoach AutoTune,\u201d Jesse was diagnosed with stage 3 voice box cancer (laryngeal cancer) and his treatment and medical bills left them struggling to keep the business alive.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"HNZYGTB2YNGONPJB25I7CAPMOA\">\u201cWith Coach\u2019s health the priority, we need to take a break and regroup. Because this doesn\u2019t exist without him,\u201d The Jugg\u2019s Facebook page said Friday. \u201cHe\u2019s dedicated every one of those 40+ years, starting as drummer, then a funder, a manager, a hustler, the very dreamer who never gave up, the man who gave this community of artists a blank canvas to draw on and a playground that was safe, accepting, and a little off kilter to run free, be supported, and express their art without limits or censors or rules. So, you better believe we\u2019re not giving up.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"6I2CNU5SPVF37DMZ4OIV66FVQI\">The Jugg, located at 2026 Teall Ave, Syracuse, N.Y., also blamed other factors, including \u201can untenable situation with our landlord and lease&#8230; a s&#8212;-y parking situation [and] not much in the way of community support even though we kept this corner safer than it\u2019s ever been.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"5NW6FZ24RRA7VKFXBMLIZYCDCI\">Viggiano, also known as Johnny Vig, insisted that the closure won\u2019t mean the end of The Jugg. He plans to keep the brand going online with videos from past music performances on <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@thejuggonteall\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"\" title=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@thejuggonteall\">YouTube<\/a>, plus original content like \u201cGrumpy Mayor\u201d on <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thejugg.net\/tv\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"\" title=\"https:\/\/www.thejugg.net\/tv\">thejugg.net\/tv<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"B7F26RR5A5EL3DJ23KOPSKIHOQ\">\u201cThis has been an incredible run and it\u2019s not over,\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/share\/p\/1Cy28hHVPb\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"\" title=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/share\/p\/1Cy28hHVPb\/\">said<\/a> a statement signed by Coach. \u201cThere are so many people to thank from our frontline of dedicated employees who have done their best to hold this dream together over these difficult final months to all of the artist who have come through here and contributed to creating this living, breathing space for Rock \u2019n\u2019 Roll to not only exist, but where it was literally conceived, polished, birthed, and performed on what we believe is a legendary stage.
