Their positions are being eliminated, PENN said in a news release.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-mce-mark=\"1\">The restructuring is being implemented &#8220;in order to achieve greater operational efficiencies, deepen customer engagement across channels, maximize free cash flow, and drive shareholder value,\u201d said PENN Chief Executive Officer and President\u00a0Jay Snowden, in the release.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-mce-mark=\"1\">Also, PENN is looking to hire a new digital Chief Operating Officer\u00a0to help oversee the day-to-day operations of the Interactive segment, which includes the company&#8217;s online sports betting and iCasino operations. The new hire will report to\u00a0Chief Technology Officer and Head of Interactive\u00a0Aaron LaBerge.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-mce-mark=\"1\">Two months ago, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wfmz.com\/news\/area\/berks\/reading-area\/penn-entertainment-jilted-by-espn-reports-third-quarter-results\/article_2de98473-8246-49a4-aaed-59f573e07cc6.html\" target=\"_blank\">PENN announced it was ending its sports betting partnership with ESPN.<\/a> The split happened just two years into a ten-year, $10 billion deal. At the same time, ESPN announced DraftKings as its official online Sportsbook.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-mce-mark=\"1\">Soon after, PENN\u00a0rebranded its online sports betting platform to theScore Bet.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>More changes could be on the horizon. PENN Entertainment &#8220;is evaluating additional opportunities to strengthen and streamline its operations and will provide an update when it reports its fourth quarter 2025 financial results in February 2026,&#8221; the company said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>PENN shares (NASDAQ: PENN) were trading at $15.09 early Tuesday. That&#8217;s near the bottom of their 52-week range.
