Ashely Tisdale<\/a> set the parenting world ablaze earlier this week when the former \u201cHigh School Musical\u201d star wrote about the drama of her \u201ctoxic mom group.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n In an essay for The Cut, called \u201cBreaking Up With My Toxic Mom Group,\u201d<\/a> the mother of two explores dynamics that many moms know all too well<\/a>. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cI remember being left out of a couple of group hangs, and I knew about them because Instagram made sure it fed me every single photo and Instagram Story,\u201d she wrote in her essay.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cAnother time, at one of the mom\u2019s dinner parties, I realized where I sat with her \u2014 which was at the end of the table, far from the rest of the women. I was starting to feel frozen out of the group, noticing every way that they seemed to exclude me.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n Tisdale wrote that she eventually exited the group via group text, and wrote, \u201cThis is too high school for me and I don\u2019t want to take part in it anymore\u201d to her fellow moms. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n She said the message \u201cdidn\u2019t exactly go over well.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cSome of the others tried to smooth things over. One sent flowers, then ignored me when I thanked her for them. Another tried to convince me that everyone assumed I\u2019d been invited to gatherings and just hadn\u2019t shown up.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n But Tisdale insisted that she \u201cnever considered the moms to be bad people\u201d save for \u201cmaybe one\u201d of them. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cBut I do think our group dynamic stopped being healthy and positive \u2014 for me, anyway,\u201d she shared. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n Nearly as soon as Tisdale\u2019s essay was published, internet sleuths began speculating that the actor\u2019s mom group she was referring to included fellow celebrities, based on certain photos other moms have shared over the years. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
