High-Fidelity<\/em> lovers in the west side of town now have a new local haven to fulfill their sonic fantasies. After years of pop-ups, crate-digging events, and online sales, Crazy Vinyl Record has opened its first brick-and-mortar location, and it\u2019s planted its flag in Doral<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Founded by Marcos Mirabal, Crazy Vinyl Record joins the ranks of Miami vinyl<\/a> staples like Sweat Records<\/a>, Technique Records<\/a>, and Lucky Records<\/a>. But rather than setting up in the usual neighborhoods, Crazy Vinyl<\/a> is carving out new ground in a less-traveled part of town. The store marks a new chapter for a business that grew organically out of Miami\u2019s vinyl-loving community. <\/p>\n

\u201cMusic is a fascinating journey. We don\u2019t separate records by genre here \u2014 it\u2019s very normal to love Michael Jackson, Metallica, and Miles Davis at the same time, and all of that lives under the letter \u2018M\u2019,\u201d Mirabal tells New Times<\/em>, laughing.<\/p>\n

The shop offers a carefully curated selection of new and used vinyl, with a musical palette rooted in soul, funk, jazz, Latin, salsa, disco, hip-hop, and rare grooves, plus a healthy dose of classic rock and contemporary releases. They also have a selection of used records under $10 and $15, you can take a sneak peek online if you are curious. Additionally, music fans can get their hands on some merch as well. <\/p>\n

According to a press release sent to New Times<\/em>, the store\u2019s mission is bigger than just retail. Designed as a community space, Crazy Vinyl Record will also host in-store DJ sets and music-driven events. It\u2019s a space for collectors, DJs, and vinyl fans of all stripes to come together and celebrate analog sound in a digital world.<\/p>\n

With Record Store Day and other vinyl-focused happenings gaining momentum each year, the addition of Crazy Vinyl Record to the local scene comes at a perfect time. Miami is, after all, a city of DJs, and recently ranked among the Best Cities for Music Fans in the U.S<\/a>.<\/p>\n
