The Cut<\/em><\/a> blasting her group of famous mom friends as \u201cmean\u201d and \u201ctoxic.\u201d<\/p>\nIn the first-person essay, titled \u201cBreaking Up With My Toxic Mom Group,\u201d the actor accused the starry group\u2014which seemingly includes Hilary Duff, Mandy Moore, and Meghan Trainor\u2014of excluding her from activities and icing her out, all while she was seeing photos of their meetups all over Instagram.<\/p>\n\nShe wrote, \u201cHere I was sitting alone one night after getting my daughter to bed, thinking, Maybe I\u2019m not cool enough?<\/em> All of a sudden, I was in high school again, feeling totally lost as to what I was doing \u2018wrong\u2019 to be left out.\u201d<\/p>\n\nAfter realizing she was still being excluded from \u201cgroup hangs,\u201d Tisdale said she confronted the other moms in their group chat. She wrote: \u201cThis is too high school for me and I don\u2019t want to take part in it anymore.\u201d Her comment, Tisdale said, \u201cIt didn\u2019t exactly go over well. Some of the others tried to smooth things over. One sent flowers, then ignored me when I thanked her for them. Another tried to convince me that everyone assumed I\u2019d been invited to gatherings and just hadn\u2019t shown up. Then why didn\u2019t anyone ever ask where I was?<\/em>, I wondered. To be clear, I have never considered the moms to be bad people. (Maybe one.) But I do think our group dynamic stopped being healthy and positive\u2014for me, anyway.\u201d<\/p>\nTisdale didn\u2019t name any names (though fans can and have already guessed them), and none of the moms publicly responded to her essay. But one dad did. Duff\u2019s husband, musician Matthew Koma, took to his Instagram Stories on Tuesday to post a mock The Cut<\/em> cover of himself with a headline that read, \u201cA mom group tell all through a father\u2019s eyes: When You\u2019re the Most Self-Obsessed Tone Deaf Person on Earth, Other Moms Tend to Shift Focus To Their Actual Toddlers.\u201d He added in a sarcastic caption, \u201cRead my new interview with @thecut.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n
