Exclusive: Paramount Pictures<\/a> has acquired the bestselling Recovery Agent book series by Janet Evanovich<\/a> for feature development as a potential starring vehicle for Gal Gadot<\/a>, Deadline has learned.<\/p>\n

Paramount<\/a> will develop and produce the project alongside Carol Mendelsohn<\/a> and Julie Weitz<\/a> under their Carol Mendelsohn Productions banner. Gadot and partner Jaron Varsano<\/a> will also produce under their Pilot Wave banner. Gadot comes to the project after working with Skydance, pre Skydance-Paramount merger, on the chart-topping 2023 Netflix<\/a> spy thriller Heart of Stone<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Evanovich\u2019s books center on Gabriela Rose<\/a>, a globe-trotting recovery agent who specializes in retrieving stolen or lost high-value items, typically under dangerous circumstances. Paired with her unpredictable ex-husband and partner Rafer Burke, she bounces from tropical islands to international hotspots, outsmarting criminals, rival treasure hunters, and law enforcement alike in the pursuit of the goods.<\/p>\n
