Tisdale French left the moms from her former friend group anonymous in her essay, titled \u201cBreaking Up With My Toxic Mom Group,\u201d and did not name Duff as one of the moms from the group.<\/p>\n
She also cautioned \u201cwannabe online sleuths\u201d against trying to identify any of the moms from the group, saying \u201cplease, don\u2019t even try \u2014 whatever you think is true isn\u2019t even close.\u201d<\/p>\n
Representatives for Tisdale, Duff and Koma did not immediately respond to NBC News requests for comment.<\/p>\n
Tisdale French, the “High School Musical” actor and singer who is a mother to two daughters, shared in her now viral essay that she ended things with her \u201ctoxic\u201d mom group after their behavior made her feel like she was back in high school.<\/p>\n
After being excluded from hangouts and finding out about them on Instagram, Tisdale French wondered whether her mom friend group had turned toxic.<\/p>\n
\u201cHere I was sitting alone one night after getting my daughter to bed, thinking, Maybe I\u2019m not cool enough? All of a sudden, I was in high school again, feeling totally lost as to what I was doing \u2018wrong\u2019 to be left out,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n
Tisdale French ultimately parted ways from the friend group and wrote that the friendships simply \u201cstopped being healthy and positive.\u201d \u201cTo be clear, I have never considered the moms to be bad people. (Maybe one.)\u201d she elaborated. <\/p>\n
She encouraged other moms to step away from friend groups that take them back to high school, saying that she\u2019s not alone in mom friend group drama. \u201cMotherhood has enough challenges without having to wonder if the people around you are on your side,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
