The City of Texarkana, Arkansas has approved several revisions to its Downtown Entertainment District ordinances following a public meeting of the Board of Directors held on Monday, January 5, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

An Emergency Clause<\/strong> was attached to the ordinance revisions, making the changes effective immediately. However, before taking enforcement action, the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department (TAPD)<\/strong> will conduct a 30-day public education campaign<\/strong> aimed at informing residents and visitors about the updated rules.
