\n\tAshley Tisdale<\/a> French has the internet abuzz after opening up about her \u201ctoxic mom group<\/a>,\u201d but it isn\u2019t her first rodeo in the world of celebrity feuds. <\/p>\n

\n\tFrench wrote about \u201cbreaking up with\u201d a group of mom friends in a January 5 essay for The Cut<\/a><\/em>, leading to speculation that she was referring to a friend group she once appeared close with that included Hilary Duff, Mandy Moore, and Meghan Trainor. <\/p>\n

\n\tDuff\u2019s husband, Matthew Koma, only fueled that speculation when he posted an edited version<\/a> of French\u2019s headline in The Cut<\/em>, in which he wrote, \u201cWhen You\u2019re The Most Self-Obsessed Tone Deaf Person On Earth, Other Moms Tend To Shift Focus To Their Actual Toddlers.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe High School Musical<\/em> co-stars seemed to be the best of pals after working together on the 2006 movie and subsequent sequels. In 2014, Hudgens served as one of French\u2019s bridesmaids when she married Christopher French.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019m a loyal person,\u201d Hudgens said of their lasting friendship in a 2017 interview with Women\u2019s Health<\/a><\/em>. \u201cShe\u2019s one of those girlfriends who will be my friend forever.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHowever, by late 2021, their friendship appeared to have waned. Notably, French maintained a close relationship with Austin Butler after his 2020 breakup with Hudgens, penning a birthday tribute to him on Instagram in 2021, writing, \u201cI am beyond proud of you and everything you\u2019re accomplishing but most importantly proud of the person you are,\u201d per E! News<\/a><\/em>. French and Butler were seen hanging out as recently as July 2025<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tWhen Hudgens married Cole Tucker in 2023, French did not attend her wedding. <\/p>\n

\n\tThen, in 2024, French gave a lukewarm response when she was asked if she still hung out with Hudgens during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live<\/em>. \u201cI haven\u2019t seen her in a long time,\u201d\u00a0she said, per Entertainment Tonight<\/a><\/em>. \u201cObviously, she\u2019s working, I\u2019m working. I have a daughter. So it\u2019s like, you know, she has a full-time job.\u201d<\/p>\n
