It has been a growing industry trend for major name artists to put out new music with little or even no advance notice, so coming out with a definitive and iron-clad release schedule is an ongoing process. That&#8217;s why we will be updating this calendar throughout the year. Check back each week to see the new additions. <span\/><\/p>\n<hr\/>\n<p>At the start of a new year, it is always intriguing fun to look ahead at a list of upcoming albums and single out some of the most highly anticipated. That changes on Jan. 21 with the arrival of <em>Greyhound<\/em>, on prestigious indie label Arts &amp; Crafts. Tupper earned a Juno nomination for traditional R&amp;B\/soul recording of the year in 2024, for her<em>Where To Find Me<\/em> EP. The group&#8217;s shoegazey sound and unflinching lyricism \u2014 this album is touted to &#8220;explore cycles of abuse, conformity and systemic oppression, while honouring the courage it takes to break free&#8221; \u2014 has made them a serious band to watch. Recently <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ca.billboard.com\/music\/beverly-glenn-copeland-dementia\" target=\"_self\">diagnosed with dementia<\/a>, he continues to create new music. Daphni usually represents Snaith&#8217;s more upbeat and danceable side, and new offering <em>Butterfly<\/em> (out on Feb. 6) features his first ever vocal on a Daphni cut, &#8220;Waiting So Long.&#8221; Somewhat confusingly, it is deemed Daphni feat. The artist, now celebrated at retro &#8220;indie sleaze&#8221; parties throughout the globe, has not toned down her act, as evidenced by song titles like &#8220;F! It comes out on their own indie imprint, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ca.billboard.com\/business\/record-labels\/sheepdogs-buy-back-catalogue-paradise-alone\" target=\"_self\">Right On Records<\/a>, following their departure from their major label, and it also follows the exit of longtime drummer Sam Corbett. Since forming in Halifax, the they&#8217;ve been active for over 20 years, and this will be their eighth album. The fact that it is their first since 2019&#8217;s <em>In The Land O<\/em><em>f<\/em> is arousing new interest, as is news of a Canadian tour starting May 9, after a U.K.\/Europe tour. The band will <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ca.billboard.com\/music\/awards\/joni-mitchell-juno-awards-2026\" target=\"_blank\">perform at this year&#8217;s Juno Awards<\/a>, held in their hometown of Hamilton, following tour dates in Europe and the U.K.. Last month, Arkells delivered a new single, &#8220;Money, &#8221; featuring U.S. band Portugal. The Man. In March 2025, they released their first full band tracks since 2023, \u201cBallad of the Last Payphone\u201d and \u201cEgo Death For Beginners,\u201d recorded with new drummer Charley Drayton, who replaced <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ca.billboard.com\/music\/rock\/new-pornographers-joe-seiders-arrested-child-pornography-1235949836\/\" target=\"_self\">the disgraced Joe Seiders<\/a>. The global superstar loves to surprise people by dropping albums without announcing a release date in advance but plenty of advance hype. Drake has been teasing <em>Iceman<\/em> for many months, and <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ca.billboard.com\/music\/rb-hip-hop\/drake-stake-give-fan-gambling-wins-tease-iceman-1236144371\/\" target=\"_blank\">promised in a recent livestream<\/a> that it is coming in 2026.  \u201cWe\u2019re focused.
