Online<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n Matthew Koma<\/a> isn\u2019t afraid to come clean with his thoughts. <\/p>\n Hilary Duff<\/a>\u2019s husband clapped back after Ashley Tisdale French<\/a> penned an essay for The Cut slamming what she dubbed her \u201ctoxic\u201d former mom friend group<\/a> \u2014 which many fans suspected to include Duff, as well as celebs Mandy Moore<\/a> and Meghan Trainor<\/a>. (Tisdale’s rep has denied their involvement.<\/a>)<\/p>\n Taking to his Instagram Story on Jan. 6<\/a>, Koma \u2014 who shares three daughters with Duff, in addition to her 13-year-old son Luca with ex Mike Comrie \u2014 created a fake magazine cover image, writing, \u201cRead my new interview with @thecut.\u201d<\/p>\n The title? \u201cWhen You\u2019re The Most Self Obsessed Tone Deaf Person On Earth, Other Moms Tend To Shift Focus To Their Actual Toddlers,\u201d accompanied by the subheading, \u201cA Mom Group Tell All Through A Father\u2019s Eyes.\u201d<\/p>\n E! News has reached out to Tisdale’s rep for comment but has not yet heard back.<\/p>\n In Tisdale’s Jan. 1 essay,<\/a> “The Suite Life” alum \u2014 who is mom to kids Jupiter, 4, and Emerson, 16 months, with husband Christopher French \u2014 detailed how she\u2019d initially thought she\u2019d found her \u201cvillage\u201d in the group of moms, before things took a turn when their children grew to playdate age.<\/p>\n READ<\/b>: Ashley Tisdale’s rep addresses claim Mandy Moore and Hilary Duff were in ‘toxic mom’ group<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cI remember being left out of a couple of group hangs, and I knew about them because Instagram made sure it fed me every single photo and Instagram Story,\u201d Tisdale wrote. \u201cI was starting to feel frozen out of the group, noticing every way that they seemed to exclude me.\u201d<\/p>\n And while she initially tried not to \u201ctake things personally,\u201d she eventually grew to feel the exclusion was intentional.<\/p>\n \u201cHere I was sitting alone one night after getting my daughter to bed, thinking, \u2018Maybe I\u2019m not cool enough,\u2019\u201d she recalled. \u201cAll of a sudden, I was in high school again, feeling totally lost as to what I was doing \u2018wrong\u2019 to be left out.\u201d<\/p>\n Which is exactly why Tisdale \u2014 noting she hoped her daughters would advocate for themselves in a similar way \u2014 texted the group upon her exit, \u201cThis is too high school for me and I don\u2019t want to take part in it anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n Despite some of the group offering what Tisdale dubbed ingenuine apologies, sharing they hadn\u2019t realized she\u2019d been excluded, the “High School Musical” star stood firm in her decision to remove herself from the inner circle. As for why she decided to share her experience?<\/p>\n \u201cMotherhood has enough challenges without having to wonder if the people around you are on your side,\u201d Tisdale explained. \u201cYou deserve to go through motherhood with people who actually, you know, like you. And if you have to wonder if they do, here\u2019s the hard-earned lesson I hope you\u2019ll take to heart: It\u2019s not the right group for you.
