{"id":2226943,"date":"2026-01-08T12:27:09","date_gmt":"2026-01-08T12:27:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/?p=2226943"},"modified":"2026-01-08T12:27:09","modified_gmt":"2026-01-08T12:27:09","slug":"puscifer-release-captivating-single-impetuous-and-tease-new-comic-book-series","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/puscifer-release-captivating-single-impetuous-and-tease-new-comic-book-series\/","title":{"rendered":"Puscifer release captivating single \u2018ImpetuoUs\u2019 and tease new comic book series"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/artists\/puscifer\">Puscifer<\/a> have kicked off 2026 by sharing an intriguing single called \u2018ImpetuoUs\u2019 and teasing a new comic book series.<\/p>\n<p>The track marks the third and final preview of the band\u2019s highly anticipated new album \u2018Normal Isn\u2019t\u2019, which arrives on February 6 via Puscifer Entertainment, Alchemy Recordings, and BMG.<\/p>\n<p>Opening with an intriguing, pulsating synth, the song gradually eases in with <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/artists\/maynard-james-keenan\">Maynard James Keenan<\/a>\u2019s distinctive vocal melodies. \u201c<em>You feel it too\/ They\u2019re all afraid\/ We\u2019re not the same, no need to be\/ Lets make some waves<\/em>,\u201d he sings, before the song takes a more electronic, slightly-menacing turn.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Don\u2019t leave, move or follow\/ Let\u2019s just dance\/ Fearless and a bit impetuous \/ Take my hand,<\/em>\u201d he sings, building up to an intense climax. \u201c<em>We are the curious, dauntless, and venturous in all ways\/ We are the Vehement the Unpredictable unafraid<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Speaking of the track, the frontman shared: \u201cI\u2019m looking forward to hearing where this song takes people. As the writers, we forget that in a way, we are carpenters and that we\u2019ve been with this song since it was a pile of lumber.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur perspective may differ from the final occupant of this space we\u2019ve constructed. More details about the series \u2013 which will be released in tandem with \u2018Normal Isn\u2019t\u2019 \u2013 will be shared soon.<\/p>\n<p>As for the album as a whole, the LP was written and recorded across Arizona, Los Angeles, and on the road during last year\u2019s \u2018Sessanta Tour\u2019. It has already been previewed by the singles \u2018Self Evident\u2019 and the aforementioned \u2018Pendulum\u2019, and blends the dark electronics and sharp wit the band have come to be known for.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom the outset, we had discussed an element of rawness and edge, which guitar brings,\u201d said Mat Mitchell, who co-produced the album. \u201cWe got rid of the guard rails and made the music more aggressive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Frontman Keenan continued, \u201c\u2018Normal Isn\u2019t\u2019 reflects this time we are living in. As storytellers and artists, our job is to observe, interpret, and report. We take in our environment and share what we see, and what we see around us does not appear normal. When asked about if the band \u2013 who often take an escapist approach in their songwriting \u2013 incorporated anything from the real world into the record, Round replied: \u201cI think lyrically, Maynard is really great at absorbing whatever is going on situationally and putting it together in a way that doesn\u2019t completely give you the full story.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou have to be present with the record to really get it.
