The 74-year-old actress, best known for playing Ellen Griswold in the \u201cNational Lampoon\u2019s Vacation\u201d film series, recently told Fox News Digital<\/a> that she regrets not doing more nude scenes earlier in her career. <\/p>\n \u201cI have to say, people ask me, \u2018What would you say to your younger self?\u2019 I would\u2019ve said, \u2018Do more nudity,\u2019\u201d D\u2019Angelo told the news outlet. <\/p>\n The Golden Globe nominee recalled filming the 1983 movie and watching her co-star Christie Brinkley, who played the flirty \u201cGirl in the Ferrari,\u201d struggle with a topless scene.<\/p>\n D\u2019Angelo felt the nudity wasn\u2019t necessary for Brinkley\u2019s character, but believed it was important for her role.<\/p>\n \u201cHer being topless really wasn\u2019t that pivotal to what was going on in the scene. But, I thought it really made a difference to see the little devoted wife say to her husband, \u2018OK, you want to have fun? I\u2019ll show you fun,\u2019 and then just strip off,\u201d D\u2019Angelo said. \u201cI thought that was great. I thought it was really perfect.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cSo, I didn\u2019t have any qualms about it,\u201d the actress added. \u201cAnd the pool was heated.\u201d <\/p>\n D\u2019Angelo has remained connected to the beloved franchise that made her famous, Parade<\/a> noted.
