Meghan Markle<\/a> was given a brutal piece of advice just as rumours about her possible new cookbook<\/a> have begun to swirl around. The Duchess of Sussex had quite a busy 2025 with the launch of her Instagram and her lifestyle brand, As Ever<\/a>, as well as the release of her Netflix show, With Love, Meghan<\/a> and her podcast series, Confessions of a Female Founder.<\/p>\n

But the new year appears to be a quieter one this time around for the Duchess, who is thought to want to focus heavily on the launches and expansion of As Ever, without any new projects<\/a> confirmed. Sources claim that Meghan has been working on a cookbook, which is expected to be released by spring and is reportedly scheduled to coincide with her brand\u2019s expansion.<\/p>\n

However, a PR expert cautioned the Duchess and advised her to pay close attention to one key thing if she wants her brand and her cookbook to succeed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Renae Smith, founder of PR and branding agency The Atticism<\/a>, told the Express: “If we were advising her, the first thing we\u2019d say is: stop thinking in moments. You don\u2019t need to say yes to everything. Start building a narrative. Create brand rhythm and strategy. Pick a lane and commit to it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ms Smith said that the Duchess had \u201call the ingredients for a long-lasting brand within her existing fanbase\u201d but urged her to stop her efforts from feeling \u201creactive\u201d.<\/p>\n

She advised Meghan: \u201cTo turn the tide in 2026, she needs to lead with clarity, show consistency in her messaging, and decide whether this next chapter is about commerce, culture, or personal reinvention, because trying to do all three at once simply isn\u2019t working.<\/p>\n

\u201cWill a cookbook pay the bills? No. But it could be part of a broader narrative, one that leans into homemaking, food, comfort, and simplicity. If she dropped the controversy, stepped into a softer, \u2018Martha Stewart meets Eat Pray Love\u2019 zone, and streamlined the brand properly, she might actually find long-term traction.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cFood, homey products, recipes, the heart of the home: it\u2019s all there waiting to be owned. Just stop doing everything else. But this is Meghan. Stay tuned\u2026 because I highly doubt it\u2019s going to go that way.\u201d<\/p>\n

It comes as a glitch on the As Ever website recently revealed the brand\u2019s plans to expand globally<\/a>, according to insiders.<\/p>\n

The glitch appeared to show the remaining products available for sale when a considerably larger number was added to the basket.<\/p>\n

While some people mocked the Duchess for the large number of stock left, a source claimed the numbers reveal the business\u2019s big next move.<\/p>\n

A source with inside knowledge of the business and close to As Ever told the Daily Express that the recent glitch just proved how successful As Ever has been as a brand, and that the Duchess managed to sell nearly 90% of her original stock.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
