Netflix Addresses \u2018Stranger Things\u2019 Secret Episode Theory After Series Finale<\/p>\n

Amid theories that Stranger Things<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>season five did not actually come to an\u00a0end with episode eight<\/a>, the show’s creators Ross Duffer<\/strong> and Matt Duffer<\/strong> shared their honest answer to whether the Netflix series could possibly make a return.\u00a0<\/p>\n “I feel like this season really, truly does close the door on this story,” Ross told Entertainment Tonight<\/a> <\/em>in an interview published Jan. 2, “on the story of Hawkins, and the story of the Upside Down and the story of these characters.”<\/p>\n However, that doesn’t mean revisiting the original characters\u2014including Mike (played by Finn Wolfhard<\/strong><\/a>), Will (Noah Schnapp<\/strong>), Max (Sadie Sink<\/strong><\/a>), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin<\/strong>) and Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo<\/strong><\/a>)\u2014is totally out of the question in the future.<\/p>\n As Ross quipped, “I guess never say never.”\u00a0<\/p>\n “[Maybe] in 20 years, if we’re all broke and need some money [and] we’ve all talked about it,” the director added, noting that the idea is his and Matt’s “safety net.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
