Law & Order<\/em> has been on the air for 25 seasons and has featured a lot of star-studded cameos \u2014 but some of the most memorable could still be coming soon. In honor of the milestone anniversary, the Dick Wolf<\/strong> franchise stars gave Us<\/em> their ideas about which notable names in Hollywood should make an appearance in the future.<\/p>\n While Tony Goldwyn<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 who plays DA Nick Baxter on Law & Order<\/em> \u2014 is manifesting a Scandal<\/em><\/a> reunion, Peter Scanavino<\/strong> spoke to Us Weekly<\/em> about the type of actors he likes to see on the show.<\/p>\n \u201cI really like when older actors come on,\u201d Scanavino, who plays ADA Sonny Carisi on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit<\/em><\/a> told Us<\/em> exclusively at the Law & Order<\/em> 25th Anniversary Celebration<\/a> in New York City on Tuesday, January 6. \u201cI don\u2019t want to say anybody in particular. I don\u2019t want them to hear me say, \u2018Oh, they\u2019re old.\u2019 But that\u2019s really the actors that I like.\u201d<\/p>\n He explained that some of the guest stars are \u201cso seasoned and so good\u201d that they bring more than just their star power.<\/p>\n \u201cThey come in, and they\u2019re so awesome to watch,\u201d Scanavino continued. \u201cAll the stories and the hangs, that\u2019s a big part of it.\u201d<\/p>\n Law & Order<\/em> premiered in 1990 and was on the air for 20 seasons before coming to an end in 2010. NBC revived the series in 2022, and the show\u2019s 25th season premiered in September 2025.<\/p>\n \u201cThe Wolf universe really takes care of people, and they really set people up. They\u2019ve been feeding me forever,\u201d Kevin Kane<\/strong>, who plays Detective Terry Bruno on SVU<\/em>, told Us<\/em>. \u201cMy first job ever [was] getting off a bus [on] Law & Order<\/em> with Jerry Orbach<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n He added, \u201cI had no idea what it was doing. It was before I even trained. I was freaking out, and he could tell, and he just chilled me out. We did the scene together, and he saved my life.\u201d<\/p>\n Keep scrolling to see which stars have thoughts about who should make a guest appearance in the Law & Order<\/em> franchise:<\/p>\n The actor wants his former Scandal<\/em> costar Kerry Washington<\/strong> to appear on the show.<\/p>\n \u201cI keep bugging her about that,\u201d he told Us<\/em>, sharing that Meryl Streep<\/strong> would be an \u201cawesome\u201d one as well.<\/p>\n The SVU<\/em> star, who plays Amanda Rollins, wants to see Billy Bob Thornon<\/strong> on the show.<\/p>\n \u201cI absolutely love him,\u201d she gushed.<\/p>\n The actress, who currently stars as ADA Sam Maroun, is hoping for an appearance by Brad Pitt<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Kelly currently appears as Captain Renee Curry on SVU and wants Broadway star Audra McDonald<\/strong> to guest star.<\/p>\n \u201cI just want to be related to her in any way possible. If it has to be through Curry, then I\u2019ll do that,\u201d she said. \u201cI love her. I\u2019m in love with Audra McDonald. I would love to see her on the show.\u201d<\/p>\n Kane has more of a personal request with Amy Schumer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n \u201cFrom my own personal history and for my friendship, I want to slap the cuffs on Schumer,\u201d he said. \u201cI keep putting it out there, we\u2019ll see. But I don\u2019t want anybody else to do it. I want to be the one to do that.\u201d<\/p>\n The former SVU<\/em> actress thinks New York native Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet<\/strong> would be a fantastic addition.<\/p>\nTony Goldwyn<\/h2>\n
