The company behind the R&B-based travelling festival Souled Out has entered liquidation after cancelling last year’s events. <\/p>\n
Bryson Tiller @ the Sydney Opera House<\/span>(Credit: Daniel Boud)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n After last year\u2019s edition of the Souled Out<\/strong> festival was cancelled<\/a>, the company behind the R&B-focused event has entered liquidation.<\/p>\n The Courier Mail<\/em><\/a> reports that liquidators Laurence Fitzgerald<\/strong> and Garth O\u2019Connor-Price<\/strong>, from the business advisory firm William Buck<\/strong>, were appointed to the event organisers on Thursday (8 January), with their first meeting scheduled for next Friday (16 January).<\/p>\n Changes to the company\u2019s shareholders took effect in November. However, before then, the Souled Out company was directed by Victorian-based co-founders Alexander Ross McDonell<\/strong> and Emal Naim<\/strong>, an artist agent.<\/p>\n The pair co-owned the festival company with Michael <\/strong>and Vedrana Zarafa<\/strong> and Kaitlyn Rose Porter<\/strong>. Additionally, Bernard Kumar<\/strong>, co-founder of Promiseland <\/strong>festival alongside Naim, was a previous shareholder. In addition to those dates, festival organisers addressed punters\u2019 concerns about the lack of dates in Perth and Auckland, stating they were working \u201ctirelessly\u201d<\/a> to make them happen.<\/p>\n
