\u201cStranger Things\u201d star David Harbour has unexpectedly dropped out of an acting project. <\/p>\n
Harbour, who played Jim Hopper on all five seasons of \u201cStranger Things,\u201d stepped back from his role in \u201cBehemoth!,\u201d an upcoming drama from \u201cMichael Clayton\u201d director Tony Gilroy. Variety<\/a> confirmed the news earlier this week.<\/p>\n According to the outlet, multiple sources said Harbour exited the film to rest after the whirlwind of filming and promoting season 5 of \u201cStranger Things,\u201d<\/a> which came to an end in December 2025. His role has reportedly been recast, although it\u2019s unclear who replaced him. NJ.com has reached out to Harbour\u2019s team for comment. <\/p>\n \u201cBehemoth!\u201d also stars Pedro Pascal and Olivia Wilde. A logline for the film says it follows \u201ca musician from a family of musicians who returns to Los Angeles\u201d and serves as \u201ca love letter to the music of the movies and the people who make it.\u201d<\/p>\n Harbour\u2019s departure from the film comes after the actor has received some bad press in recent months. Lily Allen\u2019s album \u201cWest End Girl,\u201d which was released in October 2025, paints an unflattering portrait of Harbour while detailing the demise of their marriage<\/a>. <\/p>\n One month after the album dropped, the Daily Mail<\/a> reported that Millie Bobby Brown, who played Harbour\u2019s adopted daughter Eleven on \u201cStranger Things,\u201d had filed a complaint accusing Harbour of harassment<\/a> and bullying on set.
