Prince Harry<\/a> and Meghan Markle<\/a>\u2019s beloved family member had a surprise cameo during their latest appearance this week<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made a video appearance at Oprah Winfrey\u2019s event<\/a> to mark the launch of a new book aimed at helping young people live a more offline life. The event was hosted by US TV presenter Gayle King.<\/p>\n

During the video call, the Sussexes\u2019 black Labrador, Pula, was seen entering the room before exiting a few moments later to play in the garden. When Ms King spotted the dog exiting the room, she told the couple: \u201cI see the dog behind.\u201dNah<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Meghan, who was watching over her dog, turned to the camera before Harry said, \u201cShe\u2019s literally been sitting next to us, chewing a stick.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pula is not the only dog the Sussexes own. They are also dog parents to Mia, a rescue beagle, and previously owned Guy, another rescue beagle who passed away last year.<\/p>\n

The Sussex couple, who are big advocates for children spending more time away from smartphones, discussed the importance of such a book with authors Jonathan Haidt and Catherine Price.<\/p>\n

In the video, Prince Harry<\/a> said: \u201cOver the years, we\u2019ve worked with you on how the digital spaces are deeply affecting our collective mental, emotional and physical health.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cAnd obviously, a huge congratulations to you and the outcome of your researc,h which has created a parent-led movement which is astonishing and much-needed.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meghan added: \u201cAnd that we\u2019re proud to be a part of.\u201d<\/p>\n

This marks Harry and Meghan’s first appearance of 2026.<\/p>\n

The couple spent a quiet Christmas with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, in Montecito, California.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
