One of the biggest critics of Meghan Markle<\/a> has received a faulty As Ever product, which he claims was “cheap tat” upon opening. Dan Wootton<\/a>, host of the YouTube show ‘Dan Wootton Outspoken’, received one of Meghan’s scented candles as a present when it was ordered by his fianc\u00e9e.<\/p>\n Explaining the situation, Dan wrote: “Meghan Markle<\/a> is boasting about how successful her As Ever<\/a> products are. But they’re also cheap tat. My fianc\u00e9 bought me her candle as a gag, and it turned up with no wick!”<\/p>\n An uploaded video stated: “I wasn’t going to mention it because I don’t want people to think I was putting money into her pocket and all of that.” Showing the candle to the screen, he added: “But there’s no wick again! No way to light this thing. Seriously, look!” Dan’s fianc\u00e9e purchased the candle from eBay as As Ever products do not ship<\/a> outside of America.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Dan Wootton<\/a> explained this had happened before to another internet personality, Link Lauren, suggesting there was an issue with the manufacturing of the candle.<\/p>\n The American personality also ordered<\/a> the $64 (\u00a348) candle to unbox on his show. Between fits of laughter, Link claimed the wick was not “pasted down” but missing entirely as he asked the cameraperson to “zoom in” so the faulty candle could be seen clearly.<\/p>\n He joked: “I unboxed Meghan Markle’s new $65 candle on my show today. There’s no wick! Kind of a metaphor for her career. Nothing’s lighting.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The Duchess of Sussex launched scented candles<\/a> as part of her lifestyle brand, As Ever, last year, as part of a holiday collection, including scents inspired by her wedding day (No. 519) and her home (No. 084), featuring notes like mint, tea, sandalwood, and California poppy.<\/p>\n Last year Meghan revealed the new holiday range on her Instagram<\/a> through a video that saw the Duchess picking apples and glazing a turkey with her honey, also for sale.<\/p>\n The winter collection also included a spiced cider mulling spice kit, hot toddy mulling spice kit, and a range of herbal teas.<\/p>\n
