Britney Spears believes that her time playing for U.S. audiences has come to an end. <\/p>\n
The pop music legend said in an Instagram post<\/a> Thursday, Jan. 8 that she “will never perform in the U.S. again because of extremely sensitive reasons.” <\/p>\n In the post, which contained a picture of Spears sitting on stage at a piano, the singer wrote, \u201cSending this piano to my son this year!!! Interestingly enough, I dance on IG to heal things in my body that people have no idea about. Yup and it\u2019s embarrassing sometimes\u2026 but I walked through the fire to save my life.”<\/p>\n Spears continued, \u201cI will never perform in the U.S. again because of extremely sensitive reasons but I hope to be sitting on a stool with a red rose in my hair, in a bun, performing with my son\u2026 in the UK and AUSTRALIA very soon. He\u2019s a huge star and I\u2019m so humbled to be in his presence!!! God speed, little man!!!” <\/p>\n Spears did not name which son she was referring to. The pop star shares two children with her ex-husband Kevin Federline: Jayden, 19, and Preston, 20. Spears previously described Jayden as a \u201cgenius\u201d<\/a> in a March 2025 Instagram post that featured a video of him playing the piano, Us Weekly Reported<\/a>. <\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m in awe of him,\u201d she wrote in the post. \u201cI can\u2019t believe he\u2019s mine!!! I was honestly scared that\u2019s not normal!!!\u201d<\/p>\n Spears has not performed live since the final show of her \u201cPiece of Me Tour,\u201d which was held<\/a> in Austin, Texas in October 2018. In January 2019, Spears announced an indefinite hiatus from performing and canceled her planned concert residents, \u201cBritney: Domination,\u201d The New York Times reported at the time<\/a>. <\/p>\n Spears later entered in a legal battle with her father over her conservatorship, which was terminated in November 2021. In September 2022, Spears stated that she will \u201cprobably never perform again\u201d because of the trauma that stemmed from the conservatorship, Rolling Stone reported at the time<\/a>. <\/p>\n
