Comedy fans in Minneapolis will have to wait a little longer to see John Mulaney perform. <\/p>\n
The comedian announced in a post on Instagram<\/a> that he is postponing several shows scheduled for this weekend due to the recent shooting of Nicole Good<\/a> by an Immigrations and Customs Enforcement agent on Wednesday.<\/p>\n \u201cWhat is happening in your city is heartbreaking,\u201d Mulaney wrote. \u201cI hate to postpone shows in a town going through such awful challenges and such grief, because it feels unfair to the audience.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cStill, I don\u2019t feel comfortable asking thousands of people each night to leave their homes, gather at the venue, and then make their way home when the situation is so unsafe.\u201d<\/p>\n Mulaney said the three shows \u2014 part of his ongoing \u201cMister Whatever Tour\u201d \u2014 would be rescheduled to April 10-12 and that tickets for this weekend would be honored for the new dates.<\/p>\n \u201cI am sorry to anyone who is disappointed. I know a fun standup show could be a nice distraction, but it doesn\u2019t sit right for me to put anyone at risk,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n Good, a 37-year-old mother of three who had recently moved to Minnesota, was\u00a0shot in the head in front of a family member<\/a> while inside her car in a snowy residential neighborhood south of downtown Minneapolis.<\/p>\n The shooting has sparked a wave of nationwide protests. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
