Lunsford School No. 19&#8217;s new basketball team is combining the students&#8217; physical abilities with their musical prowess.<\/p>\n<p>Many of the athletes are also part of the school&#8217;s music program.<\/p>\n<p>To encourage growth in both areas, the team holds musical performances before games.<\/p>\n<p>Their coaches and teachers say it helps the students learn valuable skills in different fields.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As well as being amazing athletes, they are also excellent musicians,&#8221; said Hannah Garfield, co-director of the Strings for Success Program. &#8220;Coach Duffy really wanted to highlight this.
