Kathy Griffin<\/a> made a startling confession before 2025 wrapped. She had been in a romantic relationship with a 23-year-old man.<\/p>\n

In an essay for The Cut<\/a> published on Dec. 31, the 65-year-old comedian wrote, \u201cI accidentally fell in love with a 23-year-old.\u201d She noted that this was her first relationship following her divorce from her ex-husband, Randy Bick, in 2023.<\/p>\n

Griffin continued to praise this younger man, whose identity is known. \u201cBecause of his age, he didn\u2019t have the usual sexism, misogyny, and biases that guys my age tend to have. He seemed to see me. I know that sounds really corny. Oh God, it sounds so lame! But I felt really comfortable with him, and I felt very content just hanging out,\u201d she wrote, admitting she \u201creally was in love with him.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, the Grammy-winning jokester acknowledged that she knew their relationship wasn\u2019t endgame.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt never could\u2019ve lasted, and we both knew that. But it was nice to know that my heart could still feel like that in my 60s, and it was nice to have the universe show me a guy that I really got a kick out of but also respected,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Griffin further noted: \u201cHe made me feel sexy and special and smart and funny. It had a lot of the elements of what I think would\u2019ve made a real, lasting relationship.\u201d<\/p>\n

While this particular romance did have a sizable age gap of 42 years, Griffin has historically gone for younger men. Bick was in his late 40s. Griffin was also previously married to actor Matt Moline, 55, from 2001 to 2006.<\/p>\n

The redheaded comic, who holds the Guinness World Record for the most televised stand-up specials by a comedian, has slowed down in recent years. <\/p>\n

Her career took a major hit in 2017 after she had a controversial photoshoot involving a fake decapitated head of President Donald Trump. Then, in 2021, she was diagnosed with Stage 1 lung cancer, but announced that she was cancer-free later that year. <\/p>\n

In October, Griffin released her first comedy special in six years, \u201cMy Life On the PTSD List,\u201d<\/a> which is free to watch on YouTube.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
