Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Dave Matthews<\/a> tore into President Donald Trump<\/a> and his administration in the wake of Renee Nicole Good<\/a>\u2019s fatal shooting<\/a> by an immigration officer in Minnesota earlier this week.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cI don\u2019t want my taxes to pay for ICE, to masked thugs to roam our streets and terrorize our communities and rip families apart,\u201d Matthews said in a video posted on his birthday Friday. \u201cWe should be taking care of each other. We should be minding each other. We should be housing the homeless. We shouldn\u2019t be, you know, throwing people to the ground.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n In his video, Matthews also criticizes the military operation<\/a> in Venezuela that led to the capture of its president Nicolas Maduro<\/a>, threats to other countries<\/a>, involvement in the war in Gaza and ICE operations.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cWhich brings me to Renee Nicole Good, murdered in front of her fellow citizens in Minneapolis, murdered in the streets, and no matter what narrative this administration is trying to sell us, we can see the videos,\u201d Matthews said.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Multiple videos<\/a> of Good\u2019s killing showed the victim being surrounded by immigration officers while she was partially blocking a road.<\/span> Alleged cell phone footage<\/span><\/a> taken from the point of view of the shooter, identified as Jonathan Ross, shows Good telling him, \u201cIt\u2019s fine, dude, I\u2019m not mad at you.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n She can be seen backing up her vehicle, then turning her wheels and moving forward before Ross fired multiple shots at her. In the video shot from Ross\u2019 perspective, a voice can be heard saying \u201cfucking bitch\u201d seconds after the gun goes off.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n The Trump administration has <\/span>painted Good\u2019s killing<\/span><\/a> as an act of self-defense, with Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem<\/a> accusing the victim of weaponizing her car to run the officer over and committing \u201can act of domestic terrorism.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Vice President JD Vance <\/a>has also called the now-deceased mother of three \u201ca <\/span>deranged leftist<\/span><\/a>,\u201d claiming she \u201cwas part of a broader<\/span> left-wing network<\/span><\/a> to attack, to doxx, to assault and to make it impossible for our ICE officers to do their job.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Matthews disputed the administration\u2019s claims, saying that Good was \u201cmurdered in cold blood.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cIt\u2019s mind-boggling, and it\u2019s deeply upsetting to me and to so many people, and we can\u2019t just let it slide,\u201d Matthews said. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cTo Trump, to Kristi Noem, to Stephen Miller<\/a>, to Pete Hegseth<\/a>, to [Kash] Patel<\/a> to [Pam] Bondi <\/a>to all of them, just deeply, deeply dishonest people. Just cowardly, shameful, dishonest people,\u201d he continued. \u201cFuck them. They are revolting.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
