Fran Drescher has recently reflected on her experience working with Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet in latest movie, Marty Supreme<\/i>.<\/p>\n

The American actress, who plays Chalamet\u2019s mother in the Josh Safdie movie, praises about her onscreen son in this cover story for PEOPLE<\/i> magazine.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe’s delightful,\u201d she tells the outlet.<\/p>\n

Drescher mentions that it’s not like Chalamet \u201cwanted to be my best friend or anything. Even though I was open to it! But he’s a young lad, living his dream\u201d. <\/p>\n

\u201cI’m very happy for him. His success is well deserved,\u201d remarks the 68-year-old while gushing over the actor\u2019s acting.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in the interview, The Nanny <\/i>star also talks about his acting prowess, adding, he\u2019s \u201cvery, very talented\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cI’ve always been a big fan of his. I like everything he does. I was delighted to be cast as his mom,\u201d she states.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Drescher reveals that she got this role because of the 2023 actors’ strike as president of SAG-AFTRA.<\/p>\n

At the time, the actress and director Safdie got in contact with each other and eventually they became friends.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd then Marty Supreme<\/i> was his next movie that was lined up, and Josh felt like me and Timmy kind of looked alike. And he said, ‘I know your background, and I know there’s a depth to you that I want to extract for this movie. I know you’ve got that in you,\u2019\u201d recalls Drescher.<\/p>\n
