George Clooney<\/a> and Noah Wyle<\/a> recently reunited 30 years after starring together on ER<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n On Saturday, January 11, both actors were honored at the Movies for Grownups Awards presented by AARP. Clooney won for best actor for the film Jay Kelly<\/a><\/em>, while Wyle snagged an award for best TV actor in The Pitt<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n While presenting Wyle\u2019s award, Clooney jokingly suggested that AARP should have a \u201cSexiest Man Still Alive\u201d issue, sharing, \u201cI would nominate Noah Wyle as the first guy,\u201d per The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI met Noah in 1993. He hadn\u2019t worked a lot yet, and we did this show called\u00a0ER,<\/em>\u00a0<\/em>and it was this crazy hit,\u201d Clooney continued, \u201cAt one time we had 40 million people watching, and I remember Noah going, \u2018Is that good?\u2019 I was like, \u2018That\u2019s good, that\u2019ll never happen again.\u2019 He was wise beyond his years from the very beginning, from the very start.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m very proud to call him a friend, I\u2019m also proud to call him a colleague,\u201d Clooney shared before declaring, \u201cWhen I grow up, I want to be Noah Wyle.\u201d<\/p>\n To that, Wyle confessed, \u201cYou got me choked up there, buddy.\u201d He also recalled how Clooney called the cast into his trailer during the first week of ER<\/em> and told them, \u201c\u2018<\/em>OK, everybody, this is how it\u2019s gonna be. We\u2019re going to be nice to everyone. There\u2019s not going to be any divisions between the cast and crew or foreground and background, we\u2019re going to learn our lines, we\u2019re going to be on time.’\u201d<\/p>\n Wyle explained, \u201cAfter that, that was the way it worked, and the first 15 years of my career, that is how it worked. And I spent the next 15 years trying to find that feeling \u2014 that sense of family, that sense of commitment. It was only with The Pitt\u00a0<\/em>that I found it again.\u201d<\/p>\n When Clooney took to the stage to accept his award, he joked, \u201cThank you to the AARP. I have to say, Movies for Grownups just means old people \u2014 I realize now that the only way I was going to win anything was if Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet<\/a> is too goddamn young.\u201d<\/p>\n Clooney starred in the first five seasons of ER, returning in Season 6 and for the series finale in Season 15. Meanwhile, Wyle starred in the first 11 seasons, returning for Season 12 as a guest star in Season 15. ER aired for 15 seasons from 1994 to 2009.<\/p>\n
