Taylor Swift sparked rumors that she\u2019s been in Los Angeles this weekend after multiple stars were photographed leaving<\/a> the Bird Streets Club on Friday night carrying sourdough loaves with labels that appeared to be in Swift\u2019s handwriting. But at Sunday\u2019s Golden Globes, neither the singer nor her fianc\u00e9, Travis Kelce, was spotted on the red carpet.<\/p>\n

They have no pressing reason to attend the ceremony itself: They are not presenting and don\u2019t have projects nominated. Swift, who has been up for Best Original Song \u2013 Motion Picture<\/a> four times in the past, hasn\u2019t written any music for a film soundtrack<\/a> in 2025. While Kelce did have a project eligible\u2014his podcast New Heights <\/em>in the Best Podcast category\u2014it wasn\u2019t nominated. (The Golden Globes discontinued<\/a> its Best Documentary award after 1977, and Swift\u2019s December docuseries The End of an Era <\/em>was released too recently to be eligible for the 2026 awards shows.)<\/p>\n

The Kansas City Chiefs player recently finished his NFL season<\/a> after his team failed to make the playoffs. He spoke on New Heights<\/em><\/a> earlier this week about how he is approaching his offseason\u2014and the prospect of retiring: \u201c[I\u2019ll be] just being a regular human for a couple weeks, maybe a month or so, [and] trying to figure out what I\u2019m gonna do next in terms of my future in football,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019ve talked to a few people in the facility already, having the exit meetings and everything, and they know where I stand, at least right now. There\u2019s a lot of love for the game that\u2019s still there, and I don\u2019t think I\u2019ll ever lose that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Swift has kept her next career moves private, though Searchlight Pictures announced in 2022<\/a> that she would direct her first feature film with them. \u201cTaylor is a once in a generation artist and storyteller,\u201d the production company said in a statement. \u201cIt is a genuine joy and privilege to collaborate with her as she embarks on this exciting and new creative journey.\u201d<\/p>\n

In December, a source told Us Weekly<\/em><\/a> that Swift \u201calways has ideas percolating,\u201d for her music career, but they weren\u2019t \u201caware of any Showgirl<\/em> tour plans. The Eras Tour was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, so she\u2019s not going to put pressure on herself to make everything that big and ambitious. She\u2019ll make sure the next one is special in its own right, but she\u2019s also realistic about it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Swift is generally thinking ahead, even during her downtime, the insider added. \u201cThere have been ideas floated, but right now she is enjoying her break.\u201d<\/p>\n
