This marks the Snot<\/a><\/strong>\u2019s first recorded material with new vocalist Andy Knapp, the album is currently being recorded with producer, engineer, and mixer Chris Collier, and more details are expected soon.<\/p>\n

The band shared an update via social media<\/a><\/strong> writing: <\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cSnot is excited to announce that the band has been writing and recording brand-new music, and the momentum is strong! The process has been going exceptionally well with five new songs already completed.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Guitarist Mikey Doling echoed that excitement from inside the studio. \u201cThe energy coming out of the studio has been undeniable. We\u2019ve been working hard writing and recording\u2026 When I listen back to what we\u2019ve been doing, I get chills and fill up with crazy excitement.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

This release will be Snot<\/a><\/strong>\u2019s first with Knapp, who made his live debut with the band in January 2025 in Anaheim, according to bassist John \u2018Tumor\u2019 Fahnestock, finding the right vocalist was the missing piece that finally pushed Snot from nostalgia into full resurgence<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re pretty much saying SNOT is back at this point,\u201d <\/em>Fahnestock previously told Heavy. \u201cWe finally found, in Andy, what we basically were dreaming of having\u2026 it\u2019s a blessing to have found Andy and what he\u2019s doing.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

That renewed energy has been obvious on stage, Fahnestock described emotional scenes on recent tours, saying fans young and old were singing every word. <\/p>\n

\u201cThere are 16-year-olds and they\u2019re singing our songs and they knew all the lyrics and they\u2019re f***ing losing their mind.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

True to their roots<\/h2>\n

The band insists the new material stays true to their roots, \u201cMikey picks up a guitar and it smells like Snot, bro,\u201d<\/em> Fahnestock said. \u201cIt\u2019s f***ing eerie\u2026 it sounds like [late singer] Lynn Strait should be there.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Doling has also stressed that Snot are not chasing trends. \u201cIt\u2019s funky. It\u2019s punk. It\u2019s got attitude. It sounds like old Snot\u2026 we wanna keep it like 1996, \u201997.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
