Amy Poehler won her second Golden Globe Sunday night, but in a brand new category.<\/p>\n
The actress-comedian took home the award in the show\u2019s inaugural \u201cBest Podcast\u201d category for her project entitled, \u201cGood Hang with Amy Poehler<\/a>.”<\/p>\n Rapper Snoop Dog presented the first-ever award at the 83rd Golden Globes in Beverly Hills, California on Jan. 11.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is exactly how I pictured it, Snoop giving me the award,\u201d Poehler said during her acceptance speech<\/a>. <\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t know about award shows, but when they get it right it makes sense,\u201d she quipped. \u201cThank you so much for this.\u201d<\/p>\n Poehler\u2019s podcast was recognized alongside \u201cArmchair Expert with Dax Shepard,\u201d \u201cCall Her Daddy\u201d hosted by Alex Cooper, \u201cThe Mel Robbins Podcast,\u201d \u201cUp First from NPR\u201d and \u201cSmartLess\u201d hosted by actors Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes and Will Arnett \u2014 the latter of whom is Poehler\u2019s ex-husband.<\/p>\n Poehler, who was born in Newton and grew up in Burlington, launched \u201cGood Hang with Amy Poehler\u201d in March 2025. During her speech, she acknowledged that she is \u201cnew to this game\u201d and has “great respect for this form\u201d and her fellow nominees. <\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m big fans of all of you, except for NPR,\u201d Poehler joked. \u201cJust a bunch of celebs<\/a> phoning it in. So try harder.\u201d <\/p>\n Released weekly, each episode of \u201cGood Hang\u201d features a celebrity interview where they “share stories about their careers, mutual friends, shared enthusiasms, and most importantly, what\u2019s been making them laugh,” the podcast\u2019s description states. <\/p>\n \u201cThis is an attempt to try to make a very rough and unkind world filled with a little bit more love and laughter, and laughing with people, not at them,\u201d Poehler said during her speech. \u201cWe just have such a good time making it, and thank you so much for letting us make more.\u201d<\/p>\n The entertainer concluded her speech by saying, \u201cMom and dad, you can watch the Patriots<\/a> now. Thank you. Good night.\u201d<\/p>\n
